Damn good episode! Was kind of funny to see them all in an alternate universe and one Torchwood reference :)

My favourite episode of the series so far

10/10

Fact: Roger Lloyd Pack, was originally mobile, but he suffered an illness which made his character stuck in a wheelchair, for both episodes.

And did anyone see the Dr. Who Confidential

It was funny how the Cyberman revolved over the years, especially when they were first introduced.

My least favourite episode of the series so far.

Probably because I'm still recovering after the brilliant FA Cup Final victory for Liverpool.

Although great to see Rising Damp actor Don Warrington as the Black British President. Loved the music gag of playing Tight Fit's The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

Interesting cliff hanger, it will be interesting to see how they get out of it.

I spotted one, when the president asked someone how Torchwood was going - what was the other?

good episode,8/10 did the cybermen always say delete delete, I can't remember or is it just a veiled copy of exterminate by some other foe ;)

I thought it was a great episode this week. Plenty of action, suspense, drama in it.

I think the 2-parters work really well, as they don't have to reach in conclusion in one episode.

I give this week's episode 10/10.

Looking forward to part 2.

Very boring first 30 mins but the last 15 were very good.

I have a few issues though. I'm guessing that all this Ricky / Mickey stuff is gonna explode in the next episode, and I liked the whole Ricky / Mickey thing today. Another querie; how how we meant to belive that lad who was in Byker Grove is a huge terrorist?.

I'm gonna miss next weeks episode as i'm away, but does anyone know when its repeated, or else i'm gonna have to get my sister to tape it, which she'll probably forget to do.

dissappointing.

my least fav episode since his return.

the intro was so corny it must have been written by a kid, the 'parellel universe' c**p was just a cheap way of using known characters and london (YAWN) yet again as a backdrop to the story.

for me it lacked imagination, was poorly conceived, and yet again is set NOW.

its a flippin craft capeable of traveling to anywhere in space, in any time, so get tf OFF earth for once.... PLEASE!

4/10

I found it dissapointing too.

I dont watch much sci fi but I'd seen parallell universes in all sorts of shows, they could have been a bit more original...felt so done before... in how the universe would be...same for that evil villian, he was acting all badieguy-movieesque when its tongue in cheek Doctor Who. He just came across as panto.

And it just didnt seem to go anywhere for me (land in parallel, meet parallel vision of themselves/some bad guy stuf/go to party/ end of episode when theyre attacked...as ever), it was obviously a 2 parter from the slowness of it...but not like it was so action packed it had to be 2 episodes long. Bah.

And I so loved last weeks, the school one and the cat hospital one was good thinking about it. And f*cking BBC putting it back so I had to sit through strictly arse fever. I mean, theyre tunring into ITV.

Kinda average to be honest, there's been so many episodes of "Star Trek" and the various spin-offs which deal with similar ideas of "alternate universes" that it's really just one big yawn, and the Cybermen themselves came across as just being like The Borg (only nowhere near as creepy), humans becoming machines and "assimilating" other humans - I'm convinced at one point the Big Baddie said "Resistance is useless", just one word difference from the Borg catchphrase really innit....?

And I agree with Rob - get the TARDIS off earth and onto some weird alien landscape, I'm gettin' bored with all this Earth sh!t..... <_<

Last series they used the Daleks really well, but the Cybermen seem to have just been used with no real regard or thought, there's definitely a feeling of "will this do?" about it.....

Lazy.... 5/10

I must admit, the 'alternate earth' explanation they gave at the start didn't really convince me and it seemed a bit rushed. One of the reasons I enjoyed this episode though, was because Tennant wasn't so over the top and annoying. I don't think he could ever be as good a doctor as Eccleston. Eccleston didn't have anyone to live up to, him being the first new doctor, and it seems like Tennant is trying to out do him, which to me is not possible. He is quite overrated.

It was alright. Wasn't the best episode, wasn't the worst either. I agree it was a little slow, and it can get a little repetitive being in London all the time! The cybermen scared me though. Maybe cos I'm a raging poof, but still. I wouldn't like to meet them in a dark alley!

How long is bloody Mickey gonna be with them in the tardis? He's getting on my tits. Can't he get exterminated or deleted or something?

I spotted one, when the president asked someone how Torchwood was going - what was the other?

I'm sure that faintly over a radio i heard someone says "torchwood" and then the president says it again.

OH MY

It was an OK episode, probably one of my least favourites though. hopefully next weeks should pick up ^_^

And i agree about Mickey, i dont like him tagging along at all, i hope he goes back to his scared and poofy old ways

Also, i like the episodes where they are in London, so im glad there are always a few in each series, because you get to see Billies fab mum :cheer:

because you get to see Billies fab mum :cheer:

She's scarier than the cybermen! :(
