So going through to the 1980s Record of The Decade Play-offs is:

1st Abba - The Day Before You Came 40

My all-time favourite Abba song, incredibly only made UK#32, 25 years ago. A song far ahead of it's time IMHO.

This is miles and away my favourite ABBA moment, too, an astonishingly great song, criminally overlooked and yes, way ahead of its time, too. It's just..... gorgeous, I think.

The most deserving winner of these play offs so far for me, but it's still very worrying to see the Americans have blitzed us with Chicago, Scorpions and Stevie Nicks again, bludgeoning classics like The Associates, The Cure and Madness out of their rightful positions.... apart from ABBA and Frida, that's a pretty hideous top 10.
