Take A Bow is a great song. I'm sure it'll be released. Leona should've just worked with Ryan on most of the album. He could've done her a Do It Well...

"Take A Bow", "The Best You Never Had, "I Will Be" and "Whatever It Takes" are all uptempo. Don't know why you thought she'd ever release a club banger.

None of those are uptempo, they're all mid tempo at most. The Best You Never Had is the closest she comes to doing something uptempo.

 

The reason she should release a club banger is because that's the only way she'll ever break out of the x factor mould. Releasing ballads is so predictable and despite how good the ballad is, it'll never really appeal far out of the X factor demographic. Having an album full of ballads may work for her this time but she won't be able to do that for her second album. There will be a new X factor winner with an album full of ballads.

 

That's how Kelly Clarkson broke out of the reality TV mould; she released Miss Independant and that's why Girls Aloud have been so successful, because they have released some great pop tunes. She needs a Maneater or an Ain't No Other Man next time around.

I am very impressed :o There are a ltot of potential singles here and some amazing tracks! It's very early Mariahish imo but there's some great modernised stuff and a good mixture of uptempo stuff and ballads.

Nothing has been announced about the next single, some blogs heard it and just presumed it was the next single for some reason.

It better not be released, cos out of all the songs ive heard (and thats most of them), Angel is probably the worst.

Errm Yes, and the sales speak for them selves re bleeding love!

 

 

 

Anyway, I agree with some people about the uptempo tracks, could of done with just two really uptempo and two less ballads. But its her first album, hopefully they will on her second.

In a sense, Simon Cowell's success provides one answer, but the question still needs to be asked: when he helps to choose, then goes on to guide the career of, a talent-show winner, why does he end up removing anything that makes that artist distinctive? With the sole exception- a small return on a 14 track album - of the current single, the curiously titled Bleeding Love, nothing on Lewis's debut departs from the Cowell formula. A small army of the ususal shlock-tastic suspects crowd onto the gravy train and succeed only in stripping the talented and likeable singer of anything she could possibly, looking back on the finished product, call her own.
