There's going to be some serious downloading now that the tour is on home ground! Sadly, not enough to beat Kylie's sales though ... what with the Children in Need thing (she's performing). I've got to say though Shameless! I love Kylie, she's a brilliant lass ... and most of her stuff has been ace ... but 2 Hearts is really, really poor. I really don't know what came over her to put out such a c**p song.

I agree Norma im a huge kylie fan and 2 hearts is so disappointing and has been sincce i first heard it,i thought it may grow on me but it hasnt at all, there are some brilliant songs on the new album and why they picked 2 hearts as the comeback baffles me.

rule the world i think will outsell patience and shine with its sales if they keep up

RTW will eventually outsell Shine (total) but I doubt it'll ever beat Patience. Patience has so far sold something like 450,000. But we'll see!

Yep ... it is already past 200,000. It'll still rise but be overtaken in the next 48 hours with the boost Children in Need will give Kylie and the Spice Girls (and of course Leona as she's on it too). As much as I'm not too fond of Leona's song - it is certainly much better than Kylie's and SG's so I think its fitting that she stays number one on Sunday. I think the Sunday chart will be:

1 - Leona

2 - Spice Girls

3 - Kylie

4 - Take That

But I actually think the week after - TT's sales will stay steady while Kylie and SG's should hopefully slip (and deservedly so). Whatever - Rule the World and Bleeding Love will still be prominent in the charts come Christmas time.

I can't see Rule The World outselling Patience (which is still selling) though.

i cannot see the spice girls getting number 2 this week,i hope kylie can get number 2 but its hrad to call, take that could well stay number 2

No. Spice Girls ... as c**p as their song is ... will be number 2 on Sunday with Kylie most probably at number 3. The boys will definitely be relegated to number 4 for one week (but will climb to number 3 or even 2 the following Sunday).

I can't believe the Spice Girls ... after all this time ... and hype .... apparently 'mimed' the song. A song as useless as that and they still had to mime it.

I missed kylie and the spice girls on children in need,i was sure the spices would sing live, you could be right about spice girls getting number 2 but i will be higely surprised if they do

spices havnt charted again this week in the irish singles chart and are number 9 in the albums so the comeback hasnt kicked of here yet for them

I don't think the miming thing seems to bother their fans. Maybe they'll mime through the whole tour - I think they'd get away with it. Most people have just bought tickets for the honour of seeing all five of them on a stage together.

There's no way Spice Girls will be number 2 this week.I am actually not sure about the next week either. c**p song is still a c**p song and neither charity single nor their iconic status can change it.

You know what Locott I'm beginning to to think they mightn't make number one at all as well. Surely they should have made a dent by now (if of course the record had have been any good). And as much as everyone says 'its for charity' at the end of the day ... it benefits the Spice Girls more than CIN. It is publicity for their tour. It is a truly dreadful song and deserves to be buried without a trace. I think it was a bit arrogant and complacent of them to release this turgid piece of poo ... but they did believing their name and the link with CIN would do it for them. I really have no time for a group that ... after years apart ... chooses to mime at their first performance together. But I'm beginning to think the reason they've mimed is because ... they just can't sing (not all of them anyway). Yes they were a global phenomenon. But that phenomenon was about ATTITUDE and pure marketing genius it had nothing to do with talent or musical ability! And that is what they've forgotten.

Glad Take That got to the pole dancing routine and sex role-reversal before they got to it!

these 3 are disappointing

They are. I'm not too sure how popular Take That are on the radio stations over there. I do think that if TT do another tour in the future ... they'll definitely keep it UK and Ireland - but perhaps with more dates. I think they only included the European leg this time as a thank you for the faithful fans they have over there. I think they'll probably dispense with Europe altogether and just concentrate on home (I mean - if I was them I wouldn't want to be so far away from my family for such a long period of time - especially this time - leading up to Christmas).

The stadium they played in Denmark was bloody gigantic and sold out - and yet the single has done jack-sh*t. Maybe Europe just doesn't like Take That.

They´re very popluar at the German radio station, they played at the moment very often RtW and Reach out was a big radio hit. I don`t know why the german don`t buy the singles, maybe because you can get the album for 5 GBP more. And thats one of the big problems for artists at the german singles charts.

But they did 7 concerts, and near every concert was sold out...and I think the crowd were for germany very good...not like UK but we did your best.

So i hope if they do another Tour that they would come to Europe or Germany again, if not it will be terrible to get tickets for the UK tour. Because most of the german fans want to travel for that to the UK, and not only doing one gig.

Therre are rumours that RtW will be at No. 4 for the next charts, no idea if its true. But if, its great

Maybe with some promo in those countries the song will chart a bit higher?

If I speak for Holland, #57 isn't that bad if you consider it had NO promo and ZERO airplay..

Another week @ #2 in the UK btw :o

Thats the major problem. No promo, and nothing at TV, radio or press that they had a new single out. So only the fans know about that and bought the singles. They should really do some more promo at Europe if they want to sell records here.

I'm not sure singles success is that important anymore to them. They love performing live (but the show they've put on this time must have cost a fortune - I can't see them making a profit from it - even with sponsorship) I suppose you do get artists now and again who genuinely love doing it for the fans.

I know that they did admit that they were praying that Patience would be a big hit - they were willing it to be a hit and they really did want people to like it (they said that on the interview). Everything else they say, has just been icing on the cake.

Schnapperin - don't I know you from the Take That TV forums?
