Do you know they put around 8 million of their own money into the last tour?

I read the same at Gary`s book. But I can`t believe that. Usual artists make at the momemt most profit because of a tour. And if you don`t make money, you don`t do it, special if you lost 8 million.

I think they got some good money for this tour, I know that its cost lots of money. But don`t forget, they don`t have the Rob hologram or the water on the stage this time. So it should be cheaper. The only real expensive part are the European dates with 30 tracks, travel near each day, the private plane...

And yes, you maybe know me from the TTTV Board..whats your nickname there?

Hiya!

Yes I think last year's tour was very expensive (there was all the pre-tour work too - the Vegas trips, planning, etc - it was quite massive) I think they had more dancers last time too (it seemed like it anyway).

I'm Kathyp over on TTTV - but I don't post there that much anymore - I'm either in here, IMDb or Trousers.

Norma!

4 weeks at #2 is really good, imagine if Leona hadn't have been out :o would have been one of their biggest #01's to date.
i hope that bthis single can reach 300.000-400.000 copies sold (with BIg XMas sales).. cause TT deserve another HIGHselling single.. and i hope it stays as long on the charts as the great shine single.
It has dropped to 3, and T2 is now almost 4k ahead according to the Friday mids.

That's too much even for Take That to catch up on for the fifth week I suppose. Oh well - at least I like T2's song. And maybe - TT can hold number 3 for a couple of weeks.

On the mediatraffik chart (in the international chart thread - it has RTW as number 31 - up from 33).

Whatever - it isn't doing very well in Europe. Hope they keep their next tour firmly on home soil and just do twice as many nights in the UK and Ireland. In Europe - I don't think many people, in general, can see past the 'boy-band' image.

Even though the concerts do well there - the sheer size and spectacle of the shows means that they must surely make a loss on the European leg of the tour.

Err Patience was a huge hit around Europe, so I cant see where that is coming from...

Yes Patience was a big hit - but I think some of its success in Europe (thankfully the song deserved it) was helped by the reaction to the comeback itself. I'm not too sure anything they've done since has been anywhere as hot (even Shine wasn't what you'd call a major hit). The same thing is happening with the SG's right now - they're charting in Europe - granted - in the Netherlands they dropped from 50(ish) to 90(ish) within a week - but in Sweden - they're number 3. It's just my opinion - but if a 'mediocre' at best song like Headlines can chart higher than a song of the calibre of RTW - maybe Europe's trying to tell them something. And don't say 'lack of promotion' because I don't think the SG's have got any Euro Promo going at the moment (apart from media hype).

Just my opinion!

That chart is not the official German chart. The official one is made by Media Control. In the International Charts Forum I always post the new official German charts. Jur posted some posts ago the link to that, I think you've already found it! ;)
