yeah she has a few lines in one of the verses!

 

Mel B is the only one I don't hear singing in it!

I've heard the full song and I like it. Now I wonder what Voodoo sounds like.

I feel underwhelmed - it's just nice , hopefully it'll grow on me :unsure: - although the song really picks up on Mel C's part but just kinda dies after that.

I honestly don't think Mel B appears at all, not even in the chorus. Victoria Beckham was saying how they were all laughing at Mel B on the set of the video for not knowing the words...that would explain alot!

Oh my god, it's TERRIBLE! I get the impression when I listen to it that they went into the studio thinking they could record anything and expect it to sell, and of course they'll be right.

I like it - and when they do it live it will be easy for them lol

Well all I can definately hear that I'm sure is Mel B is her "ahhhh"s.

That's a bit harsh of them laughing at her seeing as they didnt give her any prominent lines :huh:

They could have, and I'm sure it's not a personal reason for not doing it, she must just have had other commitments and been unable to make the recording. If she had been able to, I see no reason why they couldn't have given her a solo part.

 

It's a bit sad, because it means we've still to hear a proper re-union track, as this track being billed "the first song to feature all 5 Spice Girls" is sadly not true.

Actually listening to it again, she has one solitary "aaahhh" during Geri's verse and sings the very last line, but that's literally it. I mean even Victoria has a prominant place in the chorus.

*Newsflash* Actually I can hear Mel B quite a lot in the chorus now I'm listening again. She is the bass in the chorus (the deeper voice you can hear). And she sings the last 2 lines of the song solo too . I'm happy now I know she is on the song for sure :D!

 

Plus it sounds like a whole verse has been cut out before Mel C's part so I reckon she may have a verse on the album version - it was probably too long for the single version.

I doubt it was too long for a single....listen to the number of times the chorus is repeated at the end! They're clearly stretching it out to 3 and a half minutes rather than chopping it down.

 

I actually think the bass line in the chorus is Geri sadly. But she's definitely on it here and there.

 

EDIT: Actually listening to it, it could be that she had a verse between Melanie C and Victoria if anywhere, but I doubt it. I don't see why they would cut her out to make it radio friendly when they could just cut a chorus from the end.

Just listened to it in full and it's mediorce at best, what a disappointment. :( Of course it'll sell by the Titanic-load because it's the Spice Girls and their return single etc, etc. However had this been sang by Rachel Stevens or Lisa Scott-Lee it wouldn't make the Top200. -_-
