Posted October 23, 200717 yr New Orleans news station reports "Expect Blackout to Sellout" Louisiana native Britney Spears has had a disasterous past year, but don't worry because her year is about to get better. We asked some local stores in the area to find out what they predict Blackout could bring in sells. K-Mart- "The hype around the album is already insane, and it's getting to the point where people are calling in and asking if they could sleep in front of the store to get her album once the store opens. We're actually thinking this album could sell-out by next Friday." Most local stores expect the same reaction by the Britney fans, and since the Britney fan base has grown in New Orleans many stores are expecting the album to sell-out at some point next week. Britney fans just be sure to be at your store early on October 30th. If the album news is not enough good news for you then we have more good news! Britney seems to be getting her life back together, and we have be told by JIVE Records New Orleans could be her first stop on the very secretive next tour. --------------------------------------------------------------- From WWLTV
October 24, 200717 yr Yeah, they usually ship her albums out in abundance. Great news though! Hope the album sells over 300,000 copies!
October 24, 200717 yr Author Yeah, they usually ship her albums out in abundance. Great news though! Hope the album sells over 300,000 copies! I really think it will be close to the 400,000 mark!
October 24, 200717 yr I hope you're right! The director of charts at Billboard was quoted as saying that the album could debut at #1 with sales between 200-300k. -_- I really hope it's more than that!
October 24, 200717 yr Author I read that report and I think he meant that she needs to atleast get sales between 200k and 300k to claim the number one spot...
October 24, 200717 yr Oh yeah, that makes sense as well! I get it now... :kink: That sounds right since Backstreet Boys are released and it's the 2nd week release for Carrie Underwood. I'm pretty sure she'll get #1 though!
October 24, 200717 yr it's the 2nd week release for Carrie Underwood. oh yeah that may pose a problem...she's set for #1 this week what if she gets it two weeks in a row and blocks britney from getting to #1...
October 24, 200717 yr I don't really think her sales will still be high enough to compete with Britney's first week sales.
October 24, 200717 yr I don't really think her sales will still be high enough to compete with Britney's first week sales. But she sold 6 million of her last album. It's still on the charts right?
October 25, 200717 yr Yeah, I think so but it hasn't stayed on top of the chart for weeks or anything either. My guess and hope is that her sales will still taper in the 2nd week. That's what happens to most albums even the bigger ones.
October 25, 200717 yr Author She will probably have no more then 250,000 copies sold in the second week.
