THE MOON LOOKED ON - Claire Bowditch & The Feeding Set No.29 The Feeding Set was a name made up by band member, Libby Chow as a joke referring to the meals that Bowditch would cook and serve after Wednesday night band rehearsals. This album and its music were inspired the honeymoon that Bowditch and Marty Brown (drums) took to Vietnam, where they found an instrument shop with traditional instruments. They bought some instruments home with them and have used them in the music for this album as well as incorporating modes and scales not normally used in Western contemporary music. The album was recorded using analogue equipment – reel to reel – as opposed to digital. Clare Bowditch and The Feeding Set has also released What Was Left (No.35 Oct. ’05).
