Wonderful Brazilian 'band' who combine Portuguese gay slang rapping and baile funk beats to make rather wonderful music.

 

"Salto o Frango" was the last single and is quite amaze [also featured on Nokia ads].

 

Generally I have a lot of love for them yeah, they make me feel dancey innit O=

There was huge hype surrounding them but since Solta o Frango has failed to be a hit twice now I reckon they'll quieten down a bit and just be a Domino roster act.

 

Check out their early web-released stuff though, like the track 'Funk Da Esfiha' which samples Grease' 'Summer Nights'!

Only recently got into these when my housemate was playing With Lasers. It's such a great album but it's very "cool" and probably won't be cool for very long. I might try and see these in Sheffield because they're doing a bit of touring. They played at Leeds uni the other week but I couldn't go :(
