And in response to this thread, I would say that I believe that there are some cases in which Michael Jackson was clearly guilty, but that there were others that were made up in an attempt to either get revenge/money from him when it suddenly became fashionable to think of him as a paedophile...there is certainly a very strong case against Michael, and I believe the majority of people who believe him to be completely innocent have their opinions clouded by their love for his music. Just because someone can come out with some excellent work doesn't make them perfect!

 

I do have a question though - is paedophilia a mental illness? :unsure:

Well, other paraphilias can be cured can't they, so I don't understand why it couldn't :unsure: Unless it was defined as a sexuality unto itself, in which case it would be like trying to turn a gay man straight through therapy, in which case I couldn't think of an answer for dealing with paedophiles at all :( It's quite sad really...

I own all MJ's studio albums from Off The Wall onwards & before he started destroying his face he was unquestionably the greatest pop star on the planet with his zeitgeist being the Thriller promo video. Which is still awesome today....

 

But personally, I think MJ is one f**ed up individual, who makes Britney Spears seem like Katherine Jenkins in comparison. His neurotic persecution complex & christ like persona that reached its nadir with the Earth Song & that awful BRITS performance bordered on offensive IMHO and are an abject lesson in parody & embarrassment.

 

I always believe in the benefit of the doubt, however I have great difficulty reconciling that he is innocent of the allegations made against him. Having watched documentaries on Jonathan King & Gary Glitter, MJ seems to fit the same denial/persecution complex, with many of the same profile characteristics that police child care experts say convicted child molesters have....

 

Having said that I think America must be a pretty sad society, if these boys (& their families) who MJ has been accused of molesting are happier to settle for a huge chunk of cash, then have their day in court to bring him to justice.

 

As for the documentary,

 

Dreadful programme:

 

This programme seemed to be made to entertain those who crave the gossip but can't think for themselves. It seemed all part of the witch-hunt.

 

Because the majority of the public WANT Michael Jackson to be this psychologically damaged paedophile (in the same way they WANT to believe Diana was murdered by MI6/Royal Family). No-one is interested in the possibility that he could be anything else...

 

Why couldn't Channel 4 have commissioned their Dispatches team of journalists to cover the same story at least it would have been fair and properly done.

 

A wasted opportunity.

Actually as his career Progressed, his musically ability, and creativness grew. Go back and listen to Bad To Invincible. Youll then change your mind :)

He isnt a f***ed up individual atall, if you didnt read the tabloids, and didnt watch the negativeness, Youd actually see that he lives a much simpler life, and not all the contraversy created by the Media. He isnt f***ed up, he is different. Not in a bad way. Define Normal?

 

And as for the Brits performance, He stands in that pose usually at the end of his songs as his finishing pose. The whole children surrounding him, is supposed to show the world coming together to stop war and such. And why can't Michael stand there like that? Is he not supposed to be on the stage at that point, should we have some random person come up from the audiance and do it while Michael sits down and drinks juice?

 

hes the performer, the entertainer, he is supposed to be the centerpeice, hense a performance from him. He is simply showing something in an artistic form, that hasnt been shown before. Origionality, something a lot of artisits today lack :)

Wouldn't YOU want revenge if you caught a 40 year old man spooning your pre-pubescent son? Jordy's Dad HAD multi millions anyway LOL... he hardly worked as an NHS backstreet practitioner. I suggest you visit Beverley Hills - it costs big money to even breathe there.

And as for a Motive as to why he wanted revenge, His dream was not to be a dentist all his life.

 

He wanted to be a director and script writer etc. And after knowing his son was friends with Michael, he had asked Michael to read this script for him, and give it to Steven Speilburg, who Michael is close friends with, and Michael never did. evan got angry stopped Jordie seeing him etc. and then went and asked for Money for child molestation :)

 

And also, in the video that your going to watch youll also find that Jordie, went to court about his dad, who hit him over the head with a dunbell, and sprayed maze or however you spell it in his eye. Evan Chandler was not all there :)

 

But As some of you have said, Evan Chandler caught those 2 'Together In Bed doing all sorts of things' this is UNTRUE this is actually the only program that has ever said this, yes there were sleepovers, but Michael never slept in the bed. He would sleep on the floor.

Yet you talk about it like it's ok for grown men to sleep in the same room (who they have no family relation to) with a 14 year old kid. :lol: But still, how do you know that it's untrue, for all you know, Michael could one day turn around and go, "So maybe I did sleep in the same bed as children". Although he never would. :lol:
