Posted October 26, 200717 yr Friday, 26 October 2007, 08:03 GMT 09:03 UK Sir Paul's family attend Prom gig Sir Paul McCartney wowed fans with Beatles classics including Hey Jude and Eleanor Rigby during a one-off gig at the BBC Electric Proms. The crowd, which included two of Sir Paul's daughters, Stella and Mary, was treated to two encores at The Roundhouse in Camden, north London. The gig was his first UK appearance since his divorce battle with estranged wife Heather Mills went to court. Sir Paul, 65, also performed solo material during the 90-minute set. He appeared relaxed on stage, enjoying plenty of banter with the 3,000-strong audience. 'New moments in music' More than 80 acts are taking part in the five-day Electric Proms, including Kaiser Chiefs, Jamie Cullum and Edwyn Collins. It is being billed as "specifically designed to create new moments in music" through collaborations between new and established acts or new material performed for the first time. The Coral and Noel Gallagher kicked off the event on Wednesday, collaborating on the song In The Rain. Kaiser Chiefs, who were in the audience, are due to deliver their own BBC Electric Proms performance on Friday when they will play alongside film composer David Arnold.
