Posted October 28, 200717 yr #6 I'm surprised it's as low as it is - I honestly thought Leona Take That & Britney would make up the top 3!
October 28, 200717 yr But i guess everybody has had it for weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeks already
October 28, 200717 yr This is with physicals as well isn't it? :o So she's the first to drop with physical sales added?
October 28, 200717 yr It was a very competitive week so I'm not surprised. It's the sales that count anyways.
October 28, 200717 yr Yeah, I was expecting at least a top 5! But true, the sales is what counts
October 28, 200717 yr i doubt sales will be much over 20k, Valery sold 30k last week and still managed to beat it.
October 28, 200717 yr Still good considering there is no promo. Also Take That, Leona have like 2 versions of their song on Itunes. McFly always have big first week debuts. It peaked at 3 already so im happy
October 28, 200717 yr I'm disappointed, it's not much of a comeback if she can't make number 1, or even no .2. I know her sales are enough for a no. 1 but it's only because sales inflate when theres lots of competition around.
October 28, 200717 yr Author I agree, lets not forget the comeback actually entered the UK chart at #3 - that's pretty cool!
October 28, 200717 yr Who? The only other two songs to have reached the top 40 and not peaked on physical release are Paul McCartney and Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip. However, both of these songs did climb on the week of physical release and were both only released as a limited edition 7" so really I'd class her as the first.
October 28, 200717 yr Didn't it happen with Field Mob Feat. Ciara - So What? I'm absolutely positive that it was 50-something on downloads and then slipped down the week the physical was released. Either way I think people are really blowing things out of proportion here - Gimme More was a Top3 single on both sides of the Atlantic and still had great sales that would have been #1 on most other weeks of the year. To me this is a success.
October 29, 200717 yr I'm not doubting her success btw, #3 is brilliant and it's one of her biggest hits. ^_^
