I went for Back For Good because it's just so bloody good and also because it's the only US hit by Take That or any member of Take That. But it was really difficult as I was so wanting to vote for Patience.

I wish I could vote again ... I'd go for Never Forget. I loved the interview Gary gave to Andi Peters and he was asked about that song. He said it took him longer to think of a song for Howard because he was closer to him than any of the other guys and wanted something special. And their friendship has lasted so long. Plus ... when you see it performed live ... it is so bloody majestic! Howard really comes into his own (for such a shy chap).

I'm really glad that people are appreciating Gary Barlow's earlier music contributions ... after years of being told he was 'c**p and dated' by a certain someone.

 

Its only since this new incarnation of Take That that I'm listening to their earlier stuff and it was all pure classic pop!

I've been listening to 'Lie To Me' recently and it is absolutely bloody fantastic. If someone played that on the radio now ... they'd think it was a George Michael classic! But because it was Gary Barlow it was derided!

the media came down something rotten on gary which was awful they laid into him so much and it wasnt fair,12 months 11 days was and still is a brilliant album and if lie to me or yesterdays girl were now released as take that singles they would both be huge

Pray is one song that I never expected to ever like. But seeing it and hearing it live changes everything. It is a sublime song. Yes - the lads' dance is very cheesy - but what the heck - they do it because they know its what the fans want! I really wish I had appreciated them the first time round now ... I feel like a bit of a phony only getting in on the second run!

 

Take That are one group that just have to be seen live. I hope they get a good audience on New Years Eve on ITV. Then everyone can see what they've been missing. And, unlike the Spice Girls (Truly Global as they were) the boys don't need to mime!

Hard between Back For Good and Patience but in the end I've voted for Patience. Still love it! Fantastic comeback single! :wub:

I was torn by 'back for good' and 'patience'. 'shine' was also a contender. I chose 'patience' because its more comtemporary and a brilliant comeback song.
