Posted October 30, 200717 yr Dubai: Two of the music industry's biggest stars - controversial Hip Hop artist Kanye West and soul singer Joss Stone - said they were excited about making their debut appearance at Dubai's Desert Rhythm Festival. Kanye, who regularly hits the headlines for his outbursts and criticism of the music industry, said he could not wait to explore and experience the city, as this is his first visit to the Middle East. He told Gulf News ahead of his performance: "I am a little jet-lagged, but I have to get out and see something of the city. Maybe the mall at least." Singer and songwriter Joss Stone was also looking forward to her first trip to the UAE.
