Posted October 30, 200717 yr Fan experience: Midnight (October 30) at the Virgin Megastore -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's now 12;55am and I purchased 5 copies of "Blackout" about 20 minutes ago, at my job (Virgin Megastore). While waiting for my friends in the front of the store, prior to midnight I noticed people aligned within the store ... which I have never witnessed in my 2 1/2 years of working there. I decided to go inside and check it out. It turns out that they were all there to purchases Britney's album. When 12am hit, the majority of the CD's didn't make it to the shelf, due to people grabbing them off the "New Release" cart that was going towards the front of the store. The line was EXTREMELY long and I waited in line for about 10 minutes, which is a while in my store. The entire front shelf had 2 copies left, which usualy holds 60 and were gone by the time I left the store. My manager even informed me on his surprise for the turnout. P.S.* Most purchased 2 or more copies. My co-worker, who's also a fan, bought 2 and claimed that he was buying "Blackout" on iTunes also ... talk about a good "turn-out."
