Posted November 2, 200717 yr I thought it was just one of their usual blips, but it's nearly three weeks now without selection numbers or playlists, you can't request a video anymore and they just seem to play the same videos on a loop, with just a few of the new ones ocasionally. I wonder if it's because of all this backlash about premium rate phone numbers and people being ripped off? Won't this affect tv airplay for songs if people can't choose what they want to see and hear?
November 2, 200717 yr I have no idea but how come if theres no playlist, they are carrying on with like the days most selected ??? Surely the most selected each day must be rubbish?
November 2, 200717 yr Author I have no idea but how come if theres no playlist, they are carrying on with like the days most selected ??? Surely the most selected each day must be rubbish? That's what I was thinking Simon, they are playing what they want to play and so they must be choosing who makes it into the breakers chart as well.

November 3, 200717 yr Can anyone actually clear this up then? Clearly there's a way of requesting or w/e as if not the Most Selected would be taken off air.
November 3, 200717 yr Can anyone actually clear this up then? Clearly there's a way of requesting or w/e as if not the Most Selected would be taken off air. Well it doesn't actually say most selected on the charts. Eg. it says ''Top 10 Biggest Vids At Box HQ'', ''Today's Kiss Top 10'' and ''The Hits Top 10''. But yeah, it is a bit ridick :(
November 3, 200717 yr I'm sure they still do like the BOX BREAKERS thing and give you numbers and shiz to call to hear the new videos  Must just bee me. I don't really pay attention to whats at theb ottom of the screen though just what songs are on.
November 3, 200717 yr Fizz definitely plays what you request...I requested Daz Sampson once and my text came on screen and then the video came on a few minutes after

November 3, 200717 yr Author They must be making money just from advertisements and *cough* handouts from record companies now then.
November 3, 200717 yr I have no idea but how come if theres no playlist, they are carrying on with like the days most selected ??? Surely the most selected each day must be rubbish? I actually don't think it makes any difference that we can't select a track now. I remember a couple of years ago songs were being placed at the top of the Box Chart before there was even a selection number for them ;) even though there was for all the other tracks. So I think its always been the case that the record companies give `handouts' to have their artists tracks at the top of the charts. At least this way we `know' its just the Music Channels or the record companies dictating what we're watching and aren't fooled into thinking we actually have some say in what they play. November 3, 200717 yr A couple of months ago while watching the music channels I noticed that every 5 mins or so, along the bottom of the screen in very small print a message which said not all selections will be played!!! So you were basically paying for a £1.50 raffle!!
November 3, 200717 yr So you were basically paying for a £1.50 raffle!! A bit like entering You Say We Pay or any of the quizzes on ITV Play then. And who cares about those channels now when you've got YouTube AND can download them on iTunes for 39p more than the call.
