Posted November 5, 200717 yr Now this was a great single, released in 1997. Watch out for a cameo from Gwen Stefani in the video. Terry Hall - Ballad Of A Landlord http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6d1Lz_e9G1E
November 6, 200717 yr he's released some truly fantastic solo singles - anyone remember 'Forever J'? GREAT track. Loved his work with Colourfield and Terry, Blair and Anouska, too.
November 10, 200717 yr he's released some truly fantastic solo singles - anyone remember 'Forever J'? GREAT track. i dont know these tracks, i only know of the obv onces that get played a lot these days (and ones via akon, hilary duff, father ted, lightning seeds etc). think he is a great vocalist. got songlines mag this month as there is a terry hall and mushtaq collab on its cd. this is the best non-ghost town record of his imo: wQ9pEAABU_I and this is one of goldfrapp's best!!! Qft2TNfbF3o now if terry hall was releasing a record and there wasnt a play for heritage acts would you put him in pop or in indie???
November 15, 200717 yr that Tricky track is fantastic - as is all of his debut Maxinquaye - a shame he's never managed to match its brilliance. 'Forever J' is a wistful, dreamy pop song, sounds like a 60s French-style track - definitely worth checking around for. I think it tops even his Specials tracks.
