Posted November 6, 200717 yr EMI to release Radiohead boxed set Monday November 5, 2007 By Adam Benzine EMI has announced it is to released a boxed set and USB stick featuring the first six Radiohead albums, just days after losing out on a bidding war for the band's seventh album. The seven CD boxed set, which features Radiohead's first six studio albums along with 2001 live album I Might Be Wrong, will be released on December 10 - a week after the band releases their own independent boxed set for In Rainbows. The EMI-issued boxed set will see the albums coming in new digipack sleeves, with fans being able to access exclusive new technology by putting their CDs into their computers. The boxed set will also be available on a special "blinky bear" USB stick, featuring the band's iconic, sharp-toothed bear logo. A download bundle of the boxset will also be available from www.radioheadstore.com. The sets will retail at £39.99 for the CD box set; £34.99 for the download box set, which will feature all the tracks in high quality MP3; and £79.99 for the limited edition USB stick. Parlophone managing director Miles Leonard says, “We are delighted to offer new and existing fans the chance to get Radiohead’s albums in a box set. We are particularly excited about the USB stick, which gives fans an easy and portable way to carry the box set and provides another way of bridging the world between on-line and off-line content.” Radiohead announced last Friday that they will release seventh album In Rainbows physically in the UK through XL Recordings, ending a more than 13 year association with EMI.
