Posted November 6, 200717 yr Please post this everywhere you can think of to get as many signitures as possible: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/BSB-uptempo-single : The letter to Jive that accompanies the petition reads: We the undersigned, as dedicated fans of the Backstreet Boys, many of whom have followed their career over the last 12 years since the first single in 1995, would like to express our concern over the choices being made for the promotion of the amazing new album 'Unbreakable'. We feel the choice of ballads for the first two singles was not the best choice considering the current music scene and what is popular. There are some incredible up-tempos on the album which could have propelled the boys back into the mainstream market, but so far you have chosen to ignore these in favour of two of the weakest tracks on the album (Inconsolable and Helpless When She Smiles). While the fans enjoy these songs, they do nothing to attract new fans and are not going to get attention from major radio stations. We believe there is a chance for the Backstreet Boys to once again dominate the radio airwaves and charts, but these two singles have not been the best options to represent the boys' new album or talent. We would please ask that you consider the fans opinions to have the third single be an up-tempo. There are many viable options on "Unbreakable," and we think something that is up-beat would catch the attention of the general public and perhaps get them interested in the album as a whole. Songs such as 'Everything But Mine' and 'Any Other Way' sound really current and fit in with what is on the radio today. We realize that there are a lot of factors involved in the decision for a song to become a single, but it would be greatly appreciated if one of those could be the opinions of the group's fans. The majority of fans would love to hear something fast and catchy on the radio as the third single. Edited November 6, 200717 yr by Delta*Fan*Mel
