November 8, 200717 yr Do the American's among this forum like this top 10 :o Colbie saves it from being completely dominated by one genre...how come the album chart has such a wide range of genres represented but to look at the singles chart you would think everybody likes R&B/Hip Hop and nothing else...
November 8, 200717 yr Complete Hot 100 With number of weeks on chart and peak positions to all songs :D
November 8, 200717 yr Nice to see Chris Brown's still #1! I thought he'd completely lost it when he released "Wall To Wall", but it seems not. :o

I've said for years that you really have to look at the entire chart, or at least the top 50. In actuality, Americans like a far greater variety of genres than what is represented at the top of the Hot 100. Since airplay plays a larger role in the chart, only the most-played songs can reach the top ten. And urban radio is the most popular format. There was a period of time up until earlier this year when great digital sales could send a single up there, but the charts have been reconfigured to emphasize airplay once again. I guess the reason is to prevent what happened this week - a bunch of Britney singles charting all over the place without official radio releases. Actually, incidentally I do like quite a few of them, Timbaland, Alisha Keys, Kanye...

Actually, incidentally I do like quite a few of them, Timbaland, Alisha Keys, Kanye... Well me too, I like Timbaland and Alisha! It must be awful to have a top 10 like that :( Its such a shame to see acts like Carrie Underwood and as much as I hate them, Nickelback and Daughtry much lower down just because they don't have as much airplay
November 9, 200717 yr Can someone post the number 1s so far this year in the Billboard Hot 100? Thanks in advance!
