Posted November 8, 200717 yr i think both of her albums are very weak and i don't like the rnb/hiphop route she has taken. get back with no doubt gwen :(
November 8, 200717 yr I havn't heard much of LAMB (What You Waiting For, Rich Girl, Hollaback Girl) etc. as amazing as they are, are pretty shit songs, I also find the Sweet Escape weak as an album.
November 10, 200717 yr the L.A.M.B album was amazing and not weak at all however, most of the sweet escape album is rubbish i must say

November 10, 200717 yr Care to explain this Josh?  Take Hollaback Girl, it's a really shit song, but I really love it.
November 10, 200717 yr Nonono Josh. 'What You Waiting For' is an absolute masterpiece. Amazing piece of music.
November 10, 200717 yr Nonono Josh. 'What You Waiting For' is an absolute masterpiece. Amazing piece of music. What You Waiting For is one of my favourite Gwen songs, but the genre of it is awful. And as for 'Wind It Up' :puke2:
November 11, 200717 yr i think both of her albums are very weak and i don't like the rnb/hiphop route she has taken. get back with no doubt gwen :( Neither of her albums are very rnb/hiphop. On her tour she kept referring to them as her "dance albums". Sweet Escape is an extremely weak follow up IMO but I think LAMB is a great record. A few songs are just pop masterpieces.
November 11, 200717 yr Its simple: Love Angel Music Baby = MASTERPEICE. Everything about the album is just perfect. Sweet Escape = Average. Half-hearted imo, rushed. ugh. Some killer tracks, but nope not a great album. She is 20 times the artist when with No Doubt.
November 11, 200717 yr Oh OK Josh, that sort of makes sense I guess  Personally, I've liked/loved all of her singles so far (except the ones that flopped because I didn't get a chance to hear them). I have no interest in getting her albums though because people say they're disappointing.
November 11, 200717 yr Lamb is an amazing pop album, you cannot deny that - and a lot of modern pop records have been influenced by it, they would not even exist without it, again - you cannot deny that. You can tell that album had scope, it didn't just become this amazing record, it took effort, she really did this amazing job at reinventing herself. I don't think any of that album is '$h!te' - it's got as much influence on it as any No Doubt record does, and is just as strong. The Sweet Escape is obviously not as good, it was rushed, she just used it so she could do the tour - but hey, it provided us with some amazing pop songs, Wonderful Life, Early Winter etc
November 11, 200717 yr Her solo work has been a lot better than I expected when I first heard she was doing it. Whilst I do prefer No Doubt, I think she really has produced some stand out tracks, definitely much better than I'd have thought.
November 12, 200717 yr LAMB is an amazing pop album. I did love The Sweet Escape and was obsessed with it when I first got it, but over time I realised it didn't flow as an album and had it's fair share of trash on it, although there are some real quality tracks on there, it just seemed a bit half-arsed compared with LAMB.
November 15, 200717 yr L.A.M.B is amazing, every song is unique and diverse I love it. I like The Sweet Escape, alot of the songs are below average, but there are some songs on there that are her some of her best EVER (Wonderful Live, 4 In The Morning, The Sweet Escape, etc.
November 15, 200717 yr ^^ Exactly. Well tbh, i know everyone denies it. But i think most of the tracks on Sweet Escape were just LAMB cast-offs that didnt make the album. I know Gwen made "Wonderful Life" around the LAMB era.
November 15, 200717 yr ^^ Exactly. Well tbh, i know everyone denies it. But i think most of the tracks on Sweet Escape were just LAMB cast-offs that didnt make the album. I know Gwen made "Wonderful Life" around the LAMB era. Didn't she write Wonderful Life when she was a teenager? I'm sure when she was on tour she said she wrote it when she was really young. The thing I don't like about TSE is that the production on a lot of the songs is really bad. I like Wonderful Life but I hate how it's produced. Everything on LAMB sounded really sleak but except for a couple of songs, TSE is really messy. Like Don't Get It Twisted is quite a good song, but the beat and instruments sound really cheap. When she did that song live it was amazing.
