I watched American Idol, and I was like OMG they're covering a Will Young song...and my mom was like, no he covered it. Whatever, Will Young sang it better anyways -_-

Can't think of any cover where Will hasn't equalled or more often improved on the original. I dislike covers for covers sake but Will always seems to bring his own unique interpretation to the song.

I think Your Love Is King has to be, for me, the best cover he has done. My husband is a huge Sade fan and when he heard Will's version he was blown away. I recall one of the girls on D said her husband, also a long term Sade fan, was mighty impressed. I thought Will's interpretation was far superior to Sade's in regards phrasing and delivery. Sade is wonderfully tonal but does tend to be pretty monotone.

 

The person who chose Will to sing it has to be applauded and thanked for their choice - I'm forever in their debt :heart:

Watching "Girls Aloud's 100 Perfect Pop Songs" on SmashHits and Will was #63 with LRN :wub: Such a brillant choice :P
