I am of a mind to forego any concert where Will is sharing with other acts (apart from support acts) I cannot be doing with all these other so-called singers. I only really want to see Will.

I'm with you there sister! :D

The whole family went to the Pop Idol Tour but hubby refused to got to see Will sharing a bill with Gareth. Since then I've discovered it's much more fun without him. :P

Fortunately all the gigs I have been to I've been either with other Will fans, or on my own. My fella wanted to come with me last time I saw Will (the one I met you at TT), but I managed to dissuade him. He was very good, as he took me down to Newcastle and waited. but I really didn't want him peering over my shoulder whilst I was staring gobsmacked at Will.

My eldest son has offered to go with me to concerts in the past, but I've always said no as I think he'd probably abandon me at the nearest service station on the way back.

From Mencap's newly updated site. Thanks to Bumbling.

Actor and singer Will Young became an ambassador for Mencap in 2003. An incredibly active supporter of the charity, Will recently gave the proceeds from one his arena tours to Mencap. He also performed a sell-out gig as part of our Little Noise Sessions, has read at a couple of Mencap's Carols by Candlelight services, paid a secret visit to Mencap National College, Lufton and undertaken numerous media interviews. Will says: "I like the fact that Mencap helps to empower people by giving them their own home and enabling them to work so they don't feel so helpless and victimised...I feel I am very much in this for the long term and I'd like to continue to break down people's misconceptions and prejudices about learning disability and want to reach as many people as possible with my work with Mencap." Special mention must also be made to Will's extremely devoted fanbase, who over the years have raised thousands of pounds for Mencap. Keep up the good work folks!

Will is such a brilliant ambassador for the charities he supports though I suspect they mean he donated the proceeds of one of his concerts rather than the whole arena tour. :o

Thanks for bringing that over TT. When I lived in the southeast I taught basic literacy skills to adult special needs. I know how important it is to them to try and live as normal a life as possible, to be able to have a home and a job, albeit the jobs are often menial ones. It gives them a sense of being part of the wider picture.

Thanks sunday & munchkin.

Know which tv station we'll all be watching next Saturday. Keeping everything crossed Will's shown. :)

As for the Sunday Night Project, not very keen on Alan Carr so I've never watched the show but I'll make an exception for Will. :D

I won't be watching at that time - it is Dr Who! I will record it though.

Not a problem for me Pearl. I've never understood the attraction of Dr Who or anything sci-fi!

Devoted has just been updated with all the new info about the single and album and Will's forthcoming appearances! :cheer: I think I'd better start a new thread in here as well as it's getting closer now, I reckon it won't be long before it all kicks off with the media side of thingsas well.

Thanks suggy it's great to see it updated

I noticed on the o/s that the RSS news feed is not working in fact it stopped in May which by coincidence [ or not] is around the date the RCA and sonybmg sites stopped their Will news updates...i think the o/s news feed sends the new updates to those sites [ so that's why they have not been updated with all the single/album news] i have told a mod on the o/s and they have let admin know.... so hopefully if that is the problem it will be fixed soon :D

Neither will I, but not for your reason Pearl. :( I've just been informed by my fella that he has made arrangements to take me away for a few days from this Saturday. Now I know I should be very happy, :w00t: but wouldn't you just know it of all the weekends in the year it has to be this one.
