Thanks for the lovely pictures DD.

Have brought this over from DM posted by Darius4me, hope she doesnt mind.

OMG!!!What a day!!I didn't excpect to see the press and the red carpet when i arrived,so that was a shock!Me and Brian arrived at about 4.50,and i was so panicy whan i saw that Darius was already on the red carpet, and having the frenzied press at him,esp with all the barriers too,i thought that there was no chance of getting anywhere near him at all! .But then after he had had a quick interview with one of the female journalists, i saw that he had gone to the side where a bunch of people had gathered waiting for him,so i rushed over there double fast...i dont think that i have ever moved so fast!!Omg! he looked SO Gorgeous in his Billy Flynn suit !!!. .I managed to spend a bit of time with him,and told him how lovely it was to see him again, and he said it was lovely to see me again too ! Then i gave him a hug,and a kiss and handed him over his xmas pressie and card which me Wendy and Bernadette had bought him,and wished him a lovely xmas,i also told him how hungry we were to hear his new stuff, and if he had a date for the album and gigs, but he told me that he still dosn't really know .He then signed my calendar for me,and we had our pic taken together, and i gave him another kiss Mmmmmm !As Wendy couldn't make it there to see him unfortunatly , i asked him if it would be ok if he said a quick hello to her on my mob,and he did!!! .Omg Wendy was SO exited, and couldn't beleive that he was really on the end of her phone talking to her!!!I'm so pleased that she was able to get to speak to him,and now she's floating up on with me!!!Aww that was so sweet of him, bless him,he's just so lovely, and gets more lovely, gorgeous and sexy every time!!

I'm going toi be up on for along time yet!!

Hot Honey Rag & Finale - Frances Ruffelle & Amra Faye-Wright, Bonnie Langford & Annette McLaughlin, Josefina Gabrielle & Anna Jane Casey/Anita Louise Combe... I'm not 100% sure about the Roxies & Velmas cuz I was too high by that point! Ruthie Henshall & Ute Lemper returns to bow.

(all dialogues between scenes are done by Frances Ruffelle as Roxie, Amra Faye-Wright as Velma, Terence Maynard as Billy, Paul Rider as Amos, Fred by Tobias Walbom unless listed

Anyway, the show was amazing even though I paid for 75 quid for seats that were apparently 35 quid a week after I bought them! The Upper Circle was around 85% full, I heard the stalls are around 90% full. Anyway, the atmosphere was amazing but it certainly did not sound as amazing as the Broadway celebration one.

Back to the show, Denise was really off, and was completely outshoned by Aoife. Even though Frances didn't sing anything and just did all the conversations... she was bland as hell. Really bad. I've always thought Amra was average but tonight she's really good! The whole cast is really good! Highlights are definitely Ute Lemper doing ATJ, Ruthie doing Roxie, OMG Ruthie was SO good! She gained weight and didn't really move that much but her voice and acting was SO good! And when she moved, she still moved with grace! 'Roxie' was funny as hell! Caroline O'Connor, Caroline O'Connor! Her song COMPLETELY stole the show and her bit after the song with Roxie was just the most hilarious way I've seen it done! They STOLE the show! Also, Josefina's new choreography for Me & My Baby was good! Oh god the whole experience was amazing! Was abit annoyed they did not show Sally Ann Triplett in the powerpoint! And the down point was definitely Frances Ruffelle, I thought both her and Amra was goin to do 'My Own Best Friend' but Linzi and Pia came out to save the day! So glad! Claire Sweeney was also abit... eh. Kelly Osbourne urgh!

Anyway, the whole cast dashed off into various places to change and to party party party in SOUND club in Leicester Square.

I really enjoyed the show. The original Roxie was brilliant, Amra was as well, as Velma. It was great to see everyone together and it made a great evening. The Billy's were quite different. I feel justified in feeling Darius was exceptionally good - not that anyone was bad. Even heard none Darius supporters mentioning that he could command the stage by just being there. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Tony Hadley had been talking to us and saying that it was really difficult to remember when he was the man and when the woman in the dummy song. We were in stitches when he got it the wrong way round on occasion. He was good fun though. The older woman was BRILLIANT as Mama Morten. She'd be a hard act to follow. I still like Victor best as Amos, though.

Darius is Darius. He made time for everyone. It was a really good evening and we were lucky having seats with a really good view. Meeting up with people to go for a meal after the show made it a really great night out.

Not many. Paul and Rachel did much better.

A few pics - not brilliant but I'm glad to get some.

The pictures are lovely meg, glad to hear he was exceptionally good and commanded the stage, just wish he would command it more often.!!

Meg.....your black marker has been at it again!

Thank you for posting them :D

Must sort mine

Thank you Preston for the cast list...shame we didn't have that last night in the programme.

I didn't know who half the parts were being played by :(

Sue Kelvin was a fantastic Mama Morton.

I was disappointed with Nigel Planer, Victor wasn't there but he's the best Amos I've seen.

I was looking forward to comparing the Billys and found Darius the best...by far

Darius was as good as usual seeing everyone who wanted to speak to him.

Also spoke with Tony Hadley...he's lovely

A few of us went for a meal after.

it was good to meet up again.....hope next time isn't too long away.

Looking forward to seeing the video message Rachel took of Darius before the show :D

I like the last one - it looks like someone is hitting him over the head with a program.

Thanks for this Preston.

They obviously kept the best Billy until last. It seems Darius got a chance to show off his singing, dancing and acting. He did two of my favourite bits.................... Razzle Dazzle where he's so elegant and his voice is always so strong, and the wonderful summation.

I can still see him working the eyebrow at the beginning of that.
