Another new blog from Lucie, it's quite amusing!

From Nashville to London...

Part 2 of this story is a little late i know, for two reasons ...1, I type very slow 2. I type very slow! So i had to be prepared and actually put some time aside to write it!

The end part of my trip to Nashville was utterly amazing and inpsiring. After having an amzing first couple of weeks working with all the writers i met and hanging out with new friends and Mr Jon Green-I met up with my publishing company in Nashville, chrysalis.

I felt Robbed that i hadn't met them all yet because i can safely say that it had such a huge effect on me. They are all great people and were so helpful in hooking me up with other writers and getting into what i am doing with my next album.

Trey Bruce who is part of the chrysalis family, his skills and talents come under about a thousand different catagories, and I wrote a song together and i loved it. he was so cool to work with and i immediately knew i wanted to work with him a hell of alot more. The next day i wrote with his wife Robin and charlie Worsham who is part of the band Kingbilly-this was an awesome day, Robin was so lovely and fantastic and i was literally blown away by charlie's guitar playing and his general ability as a songwriter. We had a blast, i loved them both. That night Jon and I and our friend Jeff went to the KingBilly gig at a place called codeblue-a venue/drinking establishment/lapdancing club which had a really cool atmosphere to it. i don't know how to describe this gig well enough to do it justice-i could not believe what i witnessed on stage-one of the best band's i had heard in...well, ever! You have to see them play to hear for yourself-it was totally blown away and inspired. Every single member could have swapped instruments at any time and played them just as well, they all sang and played their asses off, with such passion and excitement-Jon and i just kept looking at eachother with stunned looks on our faces. John Osborne , who was remarkably dressed as Napoleon Dynamite's younger and better looking brother-is another member of Kingbilly and i pointed out to Patricia at chrysalis that i would love to work with him after seeing him play like that. Subsequently we got to write a couple of days later and it was just as amazing as i thought it would be. We instantly seemed to hit it off and wrote a song i love. I am so honored to have met these guys, they had such a strong influence on me and are totally incredible and beautiful people.

Trey suggested doing a session and recording all the songs i wanted for my album . I don't think i was quite prepared for how amazing the session was gonna be-Trey had brought in some absolutely ridiculous musicians and we had the best couple of days going through the songs and having a blast recording them. I felt so excited to be back in the studio again after a long break and mainly being on the road doing gigs. Trey was a total legend-literally can't wait to carry on working with him. Thankyou to the guys and Alison! who played on my songs-you blew me away!! It was an honor for me to in a room with those guys. Unfortunately i decided to have a night out on the town with all the friend's we had met and drank more than my 5ft 1 frame can handle and had to do vocals for all the songs the next day-was interesting but i enjoyed the hangover emotion! Leaving these guys was hard-in mine and Jon's time in Nashville we made some wonderful friend's, had so many inspiring experiences, ate more food than we have seen in our lifetime's and drank merrily! It was like coming off tour when we got off the plane in the Uk, very deflated and confused by our surroundings!

Maybe it's a bit cliche but the past month has changed me considerably and it can all only be good. I missed my friends back home and ofcourse Geordan, i only wished they had seen what i saw-explaining it all to them is not the same. Everyone should experience it for themselves.

jon and I spent out last night in NAshville at craig Wiseman's house for dinner-it was a wonderful dinner cooked by craig's lovely wife KK and a bunch of us messing around and having fun. craig welcomed me into his family like i never expected, he did so much for me and it was also a total priviledge writing with him and getting to know, as well as his team of talented writers at big loud shirt-i miss you guys!!

There is so muh more to say but my brain is hurting already from trying to remember everything in it's proper order. Lets just say that i hope i have made friends for life in Nashville and certainly a new outlook on music and how i feel about it all now. There is lots of infomation and people i have left out of this blog but i will tell you all about them another time-my useless fingers are getting weary and i have still got to spellcheck this damn thing!

So looking forward to the gigs i have got coming up-hope to see lots of you at highbarn on Dec 1st and again at the Soho Revue on the 9th Dec for charity. I also can't wait for my gig in Spain on the 27th of Dec-i will have to be rolled onto the stagos christmas turkey...good times!!

can't wait to get the album finished and out there, i am working away and trying to apply some patience!

lotsa love as always and thanks for all the kind messages i have been getting. Back to work now-or maybe sleep- a load of us were out last night and i fell asleep in my sister's shower with my phone still tightly gripped in my hand-not a good image.

bye bye, be happy and see you soon
