Leona was on the Paul O'Grady show tonight and Paul surprised Leona by giving her a platinum disc for Spirit and a gold disc for Bleeding Love. Paul went on to say that Leona was going to have the fastest ever solo artist debut ever. :P

 

Other notes from the appearance were that she sang Bleeding Love but they skipped the second verse, she was asked (by a member of the audience) how it felt to know that she was going to beat Kylie to #1 on Sunday and she said she was a huge fan of Kylie but was thrilled at how well she has been received.

That's correct. Although obviously they don't award the discs until it's likely that they'll actually SELL all of those copies. It'd be stupid awarding an artist a platinum disc if it's looking like they'll see about 50k :lol:
