December 11, 200717 yr Just gotta say On A Night Like This is an absolute classic, one of her best for me.
December 11, 200717 yr 17. Kylie - Love At First Sight Many a fan's favourite Kylie single, this Fever gem retains to this day the record for the most-played song during one week on British radio, and deservedly so. She perhaps will never make another song so memorable. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue28.jpg ohh i find this a bit low Jark :o lol your choice though :P this is not only my fave Kylie song but also one of my all time fave songs. i know its nothing special really but I just love it!
December 12, 200717 yr Author 6. Kylie - Please Stay From what I can gather a lot of fans are very bitter that this was a single, instead of Your Disco Needs You! I however have always loved it. The latin beat is so sexy, and the song is so catchy. Amazing. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue49.jpg 6. Dannii - Come And Get It Disgustingly reduced to bonus track status in remix form on the original Neon Nights release, this guaranteed #1-in-the-waiting would have really made Dannii huge in my opinion. My favourite of the many mixes is Radio Cut 2. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue50.jpg 5. Kylie - Giving You Up Another one the fans dislike! I can't understand why though - this song is so refreshing! Another Xenomania masterpiece, I love how they've ditched the usual verse-chorus format for something much crazier. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue51.jpg 5. Dannii - Feel Like I Do Amazingly this was only a b-side - it's probably my favourite b-side ever! It's every bit as good as the incredible A-side So Under Pressure, and would have been a perfect single. The intro is lush! http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue52.jpg
December 13, 200717 yr Sorry but I am in COMPLETE disagreement with this Kylie chart! Please Stay? Spinning Around? Giving You Up? These are amongst her low-lights! Edited December 13, 200717 yr by ScottyEm
December 13, 200717 yr Kylie - Made Of Glass - This was blatantly deserving of a single release, absolute magic. Dannii - Touch Me Like That - I like it a lot at the moment, deserved to do better. Kylie - Red Blooded Woman - Meh. Dannii - Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling [Al Stones Radio Edit] - It's okay, again can't compare to the 'Groove' version. Kylie - Please Stay - I actually love this, irresistably catchy. I even bought the single when it was released and I wasn't as much of a Kylie fan back then. :o Dannii - Come And Get It - This is like 'I Begin To Wonder' part two and I feel could have done almost as well had it been released. Amazing. Kylie - Giving You Up - I always did love this and felt it got a lot of unfair stick, brilliance. Dannii - Feel Like I Do - I like this a lot, I would have liked to see it on Beyond in place of the ghastly 'Good Times'.
December 14, 200717 yr I must admit im quite suprised by your Kylie choices but each to their own. LOving your Dannii choices though
December 15, 200717 yr Author 4. Kylie - More More More The opener to Kylie's 2001 album Fever, which sold over 6 million copies worldwide, is a sublime, underrated chillout number. More More More, thankfully not a cover of the classic, has long been right up there with Kylie's best. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue54.jpg 4. Dannii - So Under Pressure Released after delays galore in July 2006, SUP is many a Dannii fan's favourite moment. Needless to say, Dannii's retro style in the vid and during promotion was absolutely gorgeous, and the song is a more pop-orientated gem. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue53.jpg 3. Kylie - I Believe In You The lead single for Ultimate Kylie, the brilliant greatest hits compilation, IBIY got to #2 shortly before Christmas, becoming Kylie's biggest-selling single since Head. It's very deserving of that in my opinion; a perfect slice of pop. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue56.jpg 3. Dannii - Perfection Many fans would rather forget about Perfection. I worship it. Everything about it is perfect; catchier than you could even imagine, a video that despite being shot shoddily is just too sexy, and Dannii looked ravenous during promotion. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue55.jpg
December 16, 200717 yr Author Anybody have any comments to add? What do you think of the last bunch and what'll be my Top 2 for each? :P
December 16, 200717 yr some odd choices here. I'm not fond of Perfection, Giving You Up, More More More at all. So Under Pressure is a classy, underrated track. I Believe In You has become a sort of iconic Kylie track for the new millenium. Please Stay is deservedly high, think its one of her best!
December 16, 200717 yr Kylie - More More More - This was always a firm favourite of Fever for me, delicious. Dannii - So Under Pressure - This is my second favourite Dannii track, an outrage it flopped. This is the sort of stuff Dannii SHOULD be doing as opposed to last minute slap on vocals to random instrumental dance tracks. Kylie - I Believe In You - I find this grossly overrated. I do like it, but still, far from her best for me. Dannii - Perfection - I kind of like it but it's naff and tacky, everything about it right from the song to the video, it sounded rush recorded and like a poor man's YWFAM. It's a shame as it could have been brilliant with the instrumental and they had a lot to work with.
December 16, 200717 yr Author 2. Kylie - White Diamond I first heard this song, recorded in 2006 with the Scissor Sisters, back in January when a friend bought me the Showgirl Homecoming live CD. I remember loving it - it's still by far my most-played Kylie song - and then a few days later I saw Kylie live at Manchester during the last night of the entire tour, and this was again an amazing stand-out. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue57.jpg It's such a fresh, modern, classic pop song; Kylie back to her very best. Nothing from X can live up to this in my opinion. I'm still praying for the original, uptempo studio edit to appear as a b-side at some point soon, because so far we've only had a ballad version in studio form which, though lovely, loses the magic of the incredible original. I truly believe Kylie threw a #1 smash away by ignoring this song when X came around. 2. Dannii - I Begin To Wonder In 2002, Put The Needle On It missed the UK top 5, charting at #7. Some thought Dannii's huge foray into the Top 3 with Who Do You Love Now? was a mere one-off, and doubts were cast over the success of the much-anticipated follow-up album, Neon Nights, expected the following year. However, they disappeared the second people heard this sizzling uptempo number. The song was originally a one-verse-one-chorus arrangement put together by JCA and played in clubs; Dannii picked it up, wrote the second verse and bridge, and the song became a huge smash in the waiting. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z165/Jark101/minogue58.jpg The release of the song truly propelled Dannii to status as the dance-pop queen of the UK in 2003. March saw the release date come around, and things were looking good, with a Top 10 airplay hit already made of the song; however few expected I Begin To Wonder to be quite such a big hit. In the end it peaked at #2, remaining Dannii's highest-charting single to date, and propelled the album Neon Nights into the UK Top 10; both single and album went on to sell almost 150,000 copies. The song is a classic that won't ever age with time; everything, from the understated chorus and almost-rapped bridges to the amazing bootleg has me hooked.
December 17, 200717 yr Kylie - White Diamond - When I initially heard this and saw it live, I thought it would make the perfect comeback single but in a way I'm glad it wasn't included on X now as it's pretty old news for me. I still wouldn't have minded a studio leak of the version she performed at Showgirl. I remember seeing her live and being the only person singing along to it, I kept forgetting that nobody there had heard the song yet. Dannii - I Begin To Wonder - AMAZING. Dannii's best song ever for me, this was probably the song that actually made me start to take any real notice of Dannii. I love everything about it, the vibe, the dirty electronica, the lyrics, the way it's vocalled and that stunning video.
December 17, 200717 yr Whereabouts did Chocolate come? I like that one these days but didnt when it first came out  lol
December 17, 200717 yr I absolutely dispise White Diamond, nothing good about it. As for I Begin To Wonder, i'm glad its such a hit for Dannii, but its very overrated. Not one of her best.
December 17, 200717 yr for me WD is v v v over-rated and wouldnt even make my top 30 but love "I begin to wonder"
