Little bits of news on D. He has sung YG, LIAMOD, Lover Won't You Stay. Big cheers for him. Might be filmed!

- oh my - so emotive tonight. all the songs were so about his feelings tonight - I feel quite choked. Lover Won't You Stay, You & I, Blame it on the Sun. What's in Goodbye. Heartbreaking new intros and outros to LRN and LMF. I think he was very near tears - I saw his eyes sparkling with unshed tears - I swear.

 

Awesome. "He broke my heart but I'm back on my feet again." So many small references to his feelings. "Why are you asking me back" - "Come round telling me lies" - I think I remembered right. So much to take in.

 

I doubt he could have tackled Home tonight - I don't think any of us could have borne the pain in those lyrics.

 

But he was bouncy and happy between songs telling stories about his trip to Cornwall. Invited us all back to his "Knock on the door - but there's only me" :cry:

 

Wonderful wonderful night - all round - the other acts were so good. Wouldn't have missed this for the world.

All harmonised with him. Old songs but totally different to other versions. LMF was brilliant. He said before singing it - one last song - that's going to last an hour - he'd just warmed up :lol:

 

Simon Fuller and Matthew Williamson were there. Karen Poole got married - he went to her wedding in Cornwall. He had to use song sheets because he'd forgotten the words having not gigged for so long and kept apologising for being so unprofessional and then couldn't read the lyrics because he didn't have his glasses. Mentioned being in the studio and how he was nervous getting back on stage again.

 

The venue was just so right for him. Lots of love in the room tonight. :cry:

Sounds wonderful - thanks for posting. I hope we get some presents.

What a wonderful evening, loved it. He may have sung the sad ones but the overall feel was a happy one I thought. Looked as fit as a butchers dog as well :D

 

Do hope we get some 'pressies' because some of the intros were fantastic...LMF at the end was quite different to any I've heard & everyone was up....brilliant

 

 

Nice to meet you guys, even if it was a bit fleeting....we were very lucky, got into row 4 (first 2 were reserved anyway) so I had a cracking view. We got there at 1.30 so had numb toes by the time we got in......fantastic place, marvelous acoustics and the place was beautiful. Nice to be able to sit and watch without the usual frenzied shoving at the front. Not at all keen on WIG. LIAMOD and hate Happiness. Also LRN doesn't exactly get me going either but these live versions were wonderful and all the quips and ad-libs were hilarious. BOTS was another stunner- you could have heard a pin drop, absolutely beautiful, I had a wonderful time.....now we wait for the album......

Thanks for your reviews munchkin & tillywhim. You've said it all. Last night for me was Will at his very best. He was born to sing in such a magnificent venue. Feel very priviliged to have been part of such a wonderful experience. There can surely be no doubt that after what we witnessed Will has lost none of his passion for singing. :wub:

 

Couldn't really concentrate on the other artists as I was so hyped up to see Will. Enjoyed one or two songs from Adele's set but the other two weren't my thing at all. Newton is definitely a talented guitarists but thought his diction was quite poor & I think it's kinder if I don't comment on David Jordan.

 

Lovely to see you again Barb & thanks for your wonderful company Banyellowm+m's & suggy. We had some laughs didn't we. :lol:
