Posted May 15, 200619 yr Kevin Shirley has stated in his recent diary entry that the new Iron Maiden album (set for release later in the year) is completed. He also revealed that he has been mixing footage from old concerts. This is a part of his May 12th diary entry: "Greetings - its 3.30am, and I'm just getting up as I've an early flight to Barcelona for the weekend - the Formula 1 circus is in town and I'm a guest of Toyota this weekend and very excited by it! "As we finished up the new Iron Maiden album on Monday, I spent the rest of the week mixing some old Maiden concert footage in 5.1 surround sound for future release and finally almost finished that last night... "Then I met Jimmy Page and it was off to Gibson and the premiere/launch of a new heavy metal rockumentary directed by Dick Carruthers, who put the Led Zeppelin DVD together a couple of years back, which was finished off by a band of 13yr old kids playing a cover of Zep's Rock 'n Roll, which Jimmy quite enjoyed, apart from a pushy dad! The movie is out on DVD soon, and I'm featured all through it, although I really don't even remember filming the interview - I mean, what the hell do I know? There are quite a few notables rambling on in it - but I've yet to watch it, so once I have, I'll let you know the cringe factor - probably 10 watching myself and that stupid accent!" Rumours have it that the footage he is mixing maybe for a new DVD release. Maybe a concert or part 2 of the "History Of Iron Maiden" series.
