Well yes and no, when Sharon asked him if he auditioned for Joseph, and she said she was glad he was on The X Factor instead, you could tell that he would much rather be in Joseph instead, thats why I don't want him to win, as I feel it would have been a waste.

 

But he is the best there

 

To quote Andrew Lloyd Webber when recently a guest on the Graham Norton show as to why Rydian did not make the televised Final 12 stages of Every Dream Will Do: "We were looking for a Joseph, not a Phantom. If we were after a Phantom then Rhydian would have been a very real contender. But he does not have the youthful teen idol look for a Joseph and his vocal range was too deep for a Joseph, so we had to let him go. But he'd be perfect for a Phantom...."

ANOTHER bloody cover. FFS, in their interview promoting their album they harped on about how they were tired of doing covers and how this album was back to basics and great original pop songs, yet the first and now second singles are both covers. They are really just unbelievable. :rolleyes:

Rhydian EASILY his strongest performance, it was truly sensational. Still don't like him, whoever said he was better than Leona is (again) wrong for me, she has so much more that's interesting to her voice, he's a powerhouse vocalist and not too much else. It was actually nice to have the Il Divo and Leona version of this to compare to (theirs I thought was far superior - but then that's also one of the best live vocals I have ever heard) Not 12/10 like everyone has been raving, but a solid 8 pr 9

 

Adam I think the only reason we gave Rhydian 11, 12, 15 out of 10 is to try and emphasise how much better (we feel) Rhydian is than the rest of the competition. And please don't say he is Ray Quinn Mk 2 - Rhydian has a brilliant voice. And I don't get what others are saying about buying albums with voices like this, i.e. slightly classical / show tunes. Russell Watson sells quite well, and Katherine Jenkins is doing quite nicely. I'd rather buy Rhydian stuff than anything by Niki (who I liked at the audition stage) now she comes across as another cruise-ship songstress - a-la Jane MacDonald.

 

If Rhydian does not win this contest. It is fixed.

Actually, it's one thing. A biased, fixed, 'theatrical' reality show that is only interested in one thing. Pop that dosn't go down well in the charts anymore. Imagine what would happen if an Indie band walked in, Simon and his producers wouldn't know what to say.
