Despite what I said about Leona and how good I think her album is, I'm not sure if she'll do hugely well in the US. All the signs say yes, but you never know. 'Bleeding Love' is the right single to go with, but do they want Leona?

Bleeding love has done so well in the Uk due to it being on the back of the X Factor, it's a great song, don't get me wrong.. but if it wasn't for the the x factor, it prob wouldn't have gone to number one here... i hope it is successful in the USA.. like people said, Perezhilton is following it and simon and clive won't let it flop, but i just don't think that the song is good enough for an american audience.. take a bow is imo.... bleeding love 2nd or possibly whatever it takes and then best you never had or better in time... i would like to see homeless as a single aswel, but the intro sounds too much like xtina "Hurt" for a release in America.

I dont think 5 weeks at number one is on the back of the xfactor after a year of silence. I cant understand the first week of release being on the back of xfactor because she did the xfactor performance and the next day it sold 60k, but you cant explain the subsequent 4 weeks and following huge sales from this xfactor performance. She did alot of promo but she will do this in the US as well. Ive read everywhere that people are saying that they didnt like leona on the xfactor and dont normaly like this kind of music but they love bleeding love. If it has that effect i think it will do great in the states. Also the radios loved it and picked it up (a listed it) before she had done any promo and they dont normaly do that for xfactor winner singles. Leonas first single 'a moment like this' was on the back of the x factor, but her second bleeding love, has been very popular and i dont think this is the case. Otherwise shayne and other winners would have seen the samew from their second singles.

Americas to take to big voices 'joss stone' 'amy winehouse', so we will have to wait and see :)

OOOH! If so, then she should sing on AI. That would be HUGE promotion.

I really hope she does well here.

I think its a given that she will sing on american idol, that will be such great promotion for her!

Exactly. Leona's album has already sold in two weeks more than Shayne's debut album did altogether, and he rush-released his off the back of XF as well.

His was argueably right off the back of the xfactor, as his album was released one/two months later which ment that he still had all his voters waiting, leonas was a year later most of her voters, like many detractors keep pointing out a few months ago, would have forgotten about her, or be interested in the next bunch of xfactor contestants, so the fact that she is able to topple all the other previous contestants sales in two weeks, and after a year away is just astonishing to me.

We'll have to see but I think she will do. BL has had over 8 million views on Youtube and lots of people are interested. I really hope so anyway!

Erm why? It's has huge success here and is starting to chart all over Europe too.

There is a HUUUUUUGE different in the charts with America and Europe.

Who knows? Maybe she'll flop, maybe she'll be massive. We'll just have to wait and see how airplay starts.
