Blackout Her Best Perfoming Album Chartwise In The UK....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I see how everyone is calling Britney's fifth studio album a flop, BUT, this is still her best performing studio album since OIDIA in the UK!!! For example:

"Britney" debuted at number 4, then fell to number 20, and then fell to 36.

"In The Zone" debuted at number 14, then fell to 37, and then fell to 57.

Not to mention there were 14 NE in front of her this week which pushed her to number 36. Her albums never have very good endurance in the UK, it is all based on the singles released afterwards, and POM definitely has the potential to raise the album back into the top 20 by XMAS. Not to mention that the album has sold more then 70k on the back of Gimme More alone.

Sorry, but this is all rubbish. She's a major name with a Top 3 single - to spend 3 weeks only in the Top 40 is pretty damn atrocious, regardless of how past albums did. She better pray Piece Of Me saves the day.

This is not rubbish, she has hardly never done good with her albums in the UK. I'm just saying trying to make the point that people think that all of her album stay in the top 10 for the first month which is hardly true.

so far Blackout 2-13-36 so it's third week is exactly the same position as 'Britney" had :)

But Blackout has still done better...

I agree with what Tyler is saying, but I know what Jack and Boyan mean. Britney doesn't do long spells over here, it is the singles that advertise the album, and with songs like 'Gimme More', 'Piece of Me' and 'Radar' heading Britain's way, we should anticipate her releases rather than abolishing her for not staing long in a chart, when she 14 new entries and people like Leona, Westlife, McFly, Timbaland, Kylie, Take That and Alicia Keys who are in her way, and great artists hwo do well over here. If britney had released 'Gimme More' earlier or later than this date, she would have done miles better IMO, probably not beaten the Spice Girls, but do better than she actually did!
