What a tune! I was totally reminded of it when watching 'Twenty Four Hour Party People' earlier this year as it's playing in the background in the pub scene where Tony Wilson writes the Factory contract in his own blood.

Even if they do all look a mite silly by today's fashion standards.

One of the first singles I bought! Still love it.

Record companies didn't do many picture sleeves in those days, but some of them sure made up for it with the label and company sleeve designs!

thats a cool cover, and if it wasnt for the awful type of the jam logo on the disc, would work v well today just incase an retro-fixated band want to 'relaunch' an old record label for marketing purposes (stiff)

yep a good track, and good points for the more knowlegable in pop quizes (sorts out the cool dudes from the tasteless....lol)

Check out some of the monster venues they're playing these days!
Good song! This is one of those songs that I recognise but would never be able to guess the title or who it was by. There's quite a few songs from the 60s and early 70s that are like this - I recognise them, like them but never remember the title etc. From 1974 they are fewer as that was the year I began to follow music and the charts.
I remember it well, the singer sounds a bit like Noddy Holder from Slade. :)
I actually have this and their minor hit follow-up - Sing Don't Speak
