Pot one: Switzerland (group A), Austria (group B), Greece, Netherlands.

Pot two: Croatia, Italy, Czech Republic, Sweden.

Pot three: Germany, Romania, Portugal, Spain.

Pot four: Poland, France, Turkey, Russia.

Bizarre pots tbh. Greece got top seeded after winning Euro 2004, so the Netherlands are the only side to "earn" a place in the top seeds by virtue of the qualifiers. We could have a group consisting of the Netherlands, Italy, Germany and France and then another of Austria, Sweden, Romania and Poland! Had England go through I think we'd be in place of Russia in the fourth pot. Same with Scotland but in France's place.

Group of death :o

you would think it would have been done so the teams that came through the same qualifing group can't meat in round 1....
Yeah, I don't understand it - Poland qualified ahead of Portugal but are seeded below them and Holland are barely the best team of the qualifiers...what bizarre logic came up with these pots?

It has something to do with the UEFA rankings, I think.

Look on the brightside, no crappy football anthems and no eliminations on penalty shootouts by Portugal. :naughty:
and no WAGS throwing themsevles over the tabloids.

I'll support Croatia anyway it's the country closest to me and my country :kink:

But i would've prefered England over Russia for the 2nd spot in our group !!!

but well, better luck next time!

Oh dear.

Austria and Switzerland split up.

They are the worst teams ever to host the competition, and will be lucky to even earn a point.

Switzerland is good, way better than Austria anyway. And they've been to Euro 2004 and World Cup 2006.

Perhaps the Swiss could provide a few surprises.

Austria however, who have Emmanuel Pogatez as their best player don't stand a chance.

Oh dear there won't be no Panini Stickers/album for England next year

Us Scots also won't hear you lot saying you're gonna win the competition because you won the World Cup in 1966. (There may be more to it, but that's all I can think of.)

Is Scotland's national anthem 'God Save the Queen' as well?

and no "3 Lions" re-entering on downloads!!!!!, it'll prolly would have been the 1998 version that is so out of date anyway.

I'm supporting Italy cos of my Italian blood and also Poland and Austria cos one of my best mates is a Pole, and the other one is an Austrian!.
