I've just watched Elvis on the 1977 concert singing My Way and it almost brings tears to my eyes.

It was so obvious that Elvis was ill. This performance is so poignant from a man who could still deliver such a fantastic performance in such difficult circumstances...... :mellow:

I agree so much with what you said, Ian! I remember we had a thread on here and also on the 18s asking which version of My Way did we prefer. The fantastic one from Aloha or the final one from '77, and i think, without exception, we all agreed that the '77 version was magnificent. Elvis was desperately ill, but the passion and feeling he put into that song was wonderful. Knowing what we know now, that he had only a matter of weeks to live when he sang it, makes the lyrics so poignant. :wub:
