One only have to hear; ‘We're caught in a trap, I can't walk out, because I love you too much baby’ on the radio to know that it is Elvis, the King of Rock and Roll. Every Elvis fan knows this song inside out, it’s timeless music. That’s why it is surprising to see that this song, together with other classic Elvis songs, celebrates it’s 40th birthday already! Today, January 13th, it is 40 years ago that Elvis walked into Chips Moman’s American Sound Studio and made music history. On Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th 1969 Elvis would record hits like; ‘Long Black Limousine’ / ‘This Is The Story’ / ‘Wearin’ That Loved On Look’ / ‘You’ll Think Of Me’ / ‘A Little Bit Of Green’ / ‘I’m Movin’ On’ & ‘Gentle On My Mind’. Because of a cold he was forced to stay home for the rest of the week, but the following Monday, the 20th, he was back in the studio. In the Members Area you can now find a report of these ‘1969 Sessions’ together with some pictures.
