It sounds like a farmers song. QOTSA's biggest mistake was firing the old bassist as they released their best stuff back then. And this topic could have gone in the dead Heavie rock forum. :(

nick oliveri was an amazing bassist but he got fired because he was physically abusing his girlfriend and josh homme was having none of it, he deserved getting fired but if he didnt there music would be better, its still great though

QOTSA have produced some of the best ever rock singles, id put 'no one knows' and 'go with the flow' up alongside rock greats. and thats coming from an old bugger who grew up with sabbath, purple and all since.

It sounded really poor at first but it does grow

 

But like most it's far from their best :(
