Posted November 27, 200717 yr Jackson Five could reunite in 2008 Source: MW 15:34 | Monday November 26, 2007 By Anna Goldie Jermaine Jackson has hinted that the Jackson Five, including with Michael Jackson, could take to the stage again. Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Jermaine said concert dates had been discussed for some point in "2008". "Michael will be involved," said Jermaine, "We feel we have to do it one more time. We owe that to the fans and to the public." The last time the group toured was in 1984 as The Jacksons, with five members, to support the Victory album. Lead singer Michael, who had already released the million-selling Thriller album, told the audience on the last night of the tour that he was leaving the group but it was not until 1990 that the band formally disbanded a year after releasing 2300 Jackson Street. Jermaine confirmed plans for the reunion had been delayed due to problems in Michael Jackson’s personal life, "There's been so much going on, getting over all the hurdles that we all were faced with during Michael's trial," he said. He added that the band had been in the studio, hinting at new material to come and adding that Michael would definitely be part of the reunited band, "He has to be," he said. "He is a Jackson. He was at the meetings. Michael will be involved."
