Her only competition really is Yanni & Enigma and we both know she's definitely outsold those worldwide.

Yeah she's easily the biggest new age artist. :D Vangelis and Mike Oldfield are pretty big, but definately not on the Enya scale. :D

I would say that she is the biggest selling. There isn't anyone like her.

Her sisters and Clannad have had nowhere near the success Enya has managed either. ^_^

Yes, he is. He was saying in this one newspaper article that Enya was never a part of Clannad when she clearly was. She was featured on Fuaim and a song or two on Crann Ull.

Bahhh sour grapes. I'm not much of a Clannad fan myself anyway.

Yeah. :P I like some of Clannad's work, but nowhere near as much as I love Enya's.

I had one Clannad album a bit ago, it had a green cover. The first song on it was very good anyway. ^_^

Hmm I'm not sure. The first song was proper Irish folk sounding though and a woman was saying a load of words with no backing music.

I'm not totally convinced that Enya's music fits into the 'new age' category....her music seems to transcend any categorization....but, that's just my opinion....

 

 

As for Clannad stuff, I'm a fan, and I'll happily sit here, admiring my copy of Fuiam, signed by both Enya and Moya, while listening to 'An Tull'.....

 

I have other cds by Clannad as well, including Macalla, Magical Ring, and 3 different Best Of cds....
