December 12, 200717 yr Oh I didn't know you had Clannad stuff signed by Enya and Moya, Big. :o Did you get it off eBay? I actually traded for it, using I forget what now from my massively small collection....
December 23, 200717 yr I think Enya fits into the New Age category in that there is no other artist like her, her recording process and sound being so unique to her. One could say that she began a New Age in music; I can't think of any artists that used multi-tracked ethereal voices like she does until she became popular. Even Clannad didn't ever multi-track (I think that's what it's called  ) Moya's voice like Enya's is. Now there are tons of bands/artists that use multi-tracked female voices. However, when I first "discovered" Enya, I would have classified her music as pop. I mean, she isn't classical, she isn't rock, she's gained success by popularity, isn't that pop?
December 23, 200717 yr In most shops and in awards and stuff she come under the rock/pop category.
December 23, 200717 yr Well, "pop" stands for popular music..so I can see where they are coming from, although I wouldn't place her there.
December 24, 200717 yr Yeah I still dunno where to put her really. Everyone seems to end up in rock/pop though!
