I thought I would post a thread about the Follow That Dream releases, or FTDs.

For those who are not familiar with FTDs, these are CDs released on the Follow That Dream label, which is Sony BMG's Official Elvis Presley Collectors Label. They are produced for Elvis Presley Fan Clubs only and all feature unreleased performances.

As it says on the Official site:

Follow That Dream releases four new titles every year in January, April, July and October. They come in various themes. For instance, a particular FTD CD might contain a collection of multiple takes from a studio session (much of it previously unreleased), previously unreleased concert recordings, or concert "soundboard" (informal) recordings.

Additionally, there are re-releases of albums that were once available in the mainstream, but have been deleted from Sony BMG's active mainstream Elvis catalog. There are 4 to 6 releases of this type each year in FTD's Elvis movie soundtrack re-releases and in their Classic Albums series. Typically, these reissued albums have content in addition to what was on the original albums.

Also, FTD releases special book/CD combos from time to time.

What is great about these releases is you get to hear alternate takes and studio banter

One of the best places to get FTDs is Essential Elvis http://www.essentialelvis.co.uk/

Here is the link to the FTDs that have been released up till now
