Wow, PFOS is easily headed to be certified Platinum ^_^

Soulmate is an "obvious" choice as a single as it was the only hit from N.B. and because it charted just off its high downloads when the album was released, so people obviously liked it. With some nice promo and decent exposure (ie, being played on some popular TV show) could be a big hit for her, and would show her versality as a singer after LLT and PFOS.

But Angel is perhaps more suited to the American market and, although it is a bit bland, I can really see some hot, banging club and urban mixes to it being easily made, maybe featuring some US rapper or whatever :yahoo:

My guess right now is Angel being 3rd single and, depending on its success, Soulmate being 4th. And then we either await a new album or get a repackaged version featuring a hot new single, a few new songs, a remix or something, and reworked versions of the PFOS CD's song.

Easily headed to platinum? That's five times it's total sales to date...I think that when the Pocketful single is truly over and done with and out of the US Top 20, the album will have got to 350k or so, and then it'll be up to Put Your Arms Around Me to keep things alive. That was the 4th-biggest charter off the album upon release, after Soulmate, but I think it's quite clear which is the bigger US hit - radio would not play a song as slow and sparse and Soulmate.

Oh! Sorry...I meant PFOS single was meant for Platinum (in response to your post with the total sales).

Personally, I find Put Your Arms pretty bland and pales in comparison to even LLT (which wasn't her best effort).

Soulmate is a ballad, would get great play on AC and definite exposure on soppy American TV shows at some emotional moment (think Grey's Anatomy, The Hills, etc). I imagine you're probably acquainted with the Bimbo Jones remix of it, would make it another dance hit and I think it's sucess would depend on whether or not Pop radio picked it up.

I was surprised that Angel did not do well when the album was released, which probably goes against it being released as a single...on the other hand, it is very American radio-friendly, and is a good song.

If I could pick singles for Natasha, they would be:

- Love Like This, feat Sean Kingston (Top 20) (Not a personal favourite but its success speaks for itself..)

- Pocketful of Sunshine (Hopefully make Top 5)

- Angel (it is a Darkchild production after all, and if they released a slightly mixed up version featuring some "hot" US rapper it would be guaranteed Top 20 )

- Not Givin' Up (very American radio-friendly and catchy song)

- (No More) What Ifs, feat Eve (as the lead single of a repackaged version of the album :P )

While we're at it, here's my ideal tracklisting for the Pocketful of Sunshine Repackaged/Deluxe/Re-release which I feel would help boost US album sales.

1. I Wanna Have Your Babies (Snowflake Mix)

2. Love Like This, feat Sean Kingston and Lil Wayne

3. Soulmate

4. Pocketful of Sunshine

5. Angel

6. Backyard

7. Not Givin' Up

8. Tricky Angel

9. Pirate Bones

10. (No More) What Ifs, feat Eve

11. How Do You Do?

12. Stepping Stone

13. Say It Again (a new version featuring Adam Levine more prominently)

14. Piece of My Heart

15. Smell The Roses

16. Lay Down/Loved By You

17. Still Here

18. Soulmate (Bimbo Jones Remix)

A re-release with those songs would definitely get the album closer to 1 million worldwide sales :yahoo:

(Oh, and Happy, Put Your Arounds Me, and Freckles are all dispensable imho).

I agree about Happy and Freckles :P But not Put Your Arms! :(

I'd LOVE Not Givin Up to be the next single but I'd say the chances are really slim. It is an amazing song though, probably her best...or at least the best on NB. ^_^

I doubt they'll repackage again after they did it already from N.B. to PFOS.

It's fallen 10 places?

That's on HDD. On Billboard I imagine it'll be Top 30. To remain that high is great since the sales are still high off the back of Idol and that was 2 weeks ago. ;)

PFOs has given the album a pretty good boost in terms of sales...lets hope it stays around top 20 for a good while and keeps album sales from dwindling too fast...
