I know she hasn't released anything properly this year butttttt does anyone think she is rather amazing? :o

 

I really love "Ys", her music is so well crafted and has so much character <3 You have to be in the right mood to enjoy it but bloody hell when you are it clicks into place and is thoroughly amazing.

I too love "Ys". Just five tracks spread over 50 minutes worth of music. It certainly is not background listening.

yeah she's good, and should have had a big advert download hit with the orange advert.

i love joanna newsom. Ys is a great album but i'm still such a huge fan of the milk-eyed mender

Her voice is so unique and original. I loved Ys. Ive not heard anything from her since her EP with the Ys Street Band though.
