Results of Retro Soundclash #47

Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin [ 7 ] [46.67%]

Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who [ 8 ] [53.33%]

Another surprise this week as The Who turned things around to sneak a win by one vote. Stairway only got a single win, thought we were in for a longer run there!

Now I know people may say this is a load a crud and it may not get any votes but I love it to pieces and I wanted to see how it would do so next up is Love Missile F1-11 by the 80s masters of all mouth and no trousers - Sigue Sigue Sputnik.

You have until whenever I get round to announcing the results to vote!

Sigue Sigue Sputnik = Donkey manure. :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:

They make the Spice Girls seem like the Beatles in comparison.

The Who.

Can a track from The Jam or the Psychedelic Furs be put next?

Think The Jam would be a good idea! Any particular song?

Sputnik for me, too - a great, great single.

As for a Jam single - surely it's gotta be The Bitterest Pill, IMO, their finest ever moment, closely followed by That's Entertainment.

Got to agree with The Bitterest Pill -great song! My fave Jam track too

you surprise me! especially after your disregard for 'ibifa' choons!!!

I don't see the connection - Love Missile has more in common with PIL than ATB.

I am so glad that I'm not the only one who rates Love Missile. Shame just about everything else they did was pale imitations of F1-11.

BTW has anybody else heard the PWEI version, I love that as well!
