Well seeing as I don't really have the time to complete this as fully as I'd like I've summarised the next section somewhat briefly. Guillemots feature with the last single to be taken from their excellent "Throught the Windowpane" album. Released way back in January, it's one of the oldest tracks to chart. Shiny Toy Guns follow with the decent "Le Disko", the best track from a band I am sadly now most non-fond of. Up next is Ms. Stefani with a song I under-charted horrifically. One of the best pop songs of the year with excellent production on the track and an amazing video [when isn't Joseph Khan + big budget ever a winnar?]. Arcade Fire suffer from under-chartitis with the best track off their recent "Neon Bible" album failing to achieve a deserved top 30 position. Great tracks by Jamie T and Stars follow. Stars have grown on me throughout the year and "The Night Starts Here" symbolises the bands ability to create fragile, emotive pieces of music; the best feature of Stars themselves. Some recent chart releases follow in the form on Foals and New Young Pony Club. Both of whom really stand out as excellent bands and excellent future prospects on the musical landscape. Bloc Party's best single to date - "Flux" follows ahead. An excellent pop track I just wish BP would be more risky on their albums. The track fails though to change my opinion that the best are, to be quite honest dullards to grade A standard. Jamie T follows once more with his signature choon - "Sheila". Released and then stupidly re-released again the track clicked with me more and the track really does highlight Jamie's ability to craft some amazing lyrics. I expect to hear more from him next year; hopefully with less faffing about from the likes of Virgin plz. Unklejam's only decent single follows, another Virgin-signed act and more mis-promotion evident. Marketing Unklejam as some "gay-friendly" band was never going to work and when at all does it work tbh [oh dar Dragonette ): ]. The thoroughly excellent Robots In Disguise follow next with the thoroughly excellent "The Sex Has Made Me Stupid". I expect great things from their 3rd album "We're In the Music Biz" and the 2nd single to be taken from it, of the same title. The Ghost Frequency come slightly ahead of the 'bots with the essay-length second single from the band, released on limited 7" vinyl earlier this month. I expect big things of this band next year ["Nightmare" is better than this track too but I didn't chart it for some reason :s]. Finally up at #41 is the lovely Björk with "Innocence". If only "Volta" had been more like this track, edgy experimental. Dare I say if she had recorded the entire album with Timbaland she'd have an excellent edgy album, rather than the semi-safe "Volta" which is mixed pickings to say the least...

[05] [#0055] __Nelly Furtado ;; "In God's Hands" It's ok. Should never have been released though. :(

[07] [#0054] __Guillemots ;; "Annie, Let's Not Wait" Good song. Only one I like by them though.

Commentary ;;

Ahhhh the debut single released at a time when Ms. Nash was most unknown. I adore this song and it shows the experiemental side Nash took in her music prior to her mainstreaming conversion Polydor undertook with her. It's so catchy and the Tapedeck refix of this is ace. The release party for this was supposed to be in my Family's bar but alas it never happened due to time issues. Below is the video which was cheap but at least she looks natural in it...something she couldn't manage in le video pour "Pumpkin Soup" >_>

'In God's Hands' is so good. I love it. :wub:
I loved "Caroline's A Victim". Why it was excluded from the album is beyone me. -_- Great song.

Your path is never preordained..."

People rip on Hadouken! A lot. "Sceney" blah blah etc but thus far 3 singles into their career they've been somewhat productive imo. You'd fully expect all their songs to sound like carbon copies of one and other but alas no. "Leap of Fath" sees James singing *shock shock* over low synth and Hadouken! as rawk as physically possible for themselves. The whole USB thing they put out was quite honestly $h!t. Nigh on all fans had all the mp3s already (myself included and I'm not even a major fan) so the whole thing was one big rip-off as was the fact the entire 'mini-album' was on one long mp3 :S . It leaves me thinking more and more often that Hadouken! aren't a band rather a 'scene' which people buy from and live out. Something music shouldn't be about imo. CHristmas discounts from their e-store. Hadouken! shoelaces etc etc. Irrespective, Hadouken! shalt be hooge in '08. Trus'

But their über fans are essentially a pile of douches tbf. They all wear Topman and they all think they're amazing. Erm nay nah thx.

Here's the video filmed on an obvious tight budget. Hadouken! want to make as much money as they can without giving a penny back it would seem o;
