December 12, 200717 yr great that some lovely volunteeers transcribed the whole video! some interesting things to mull over there. I am really wondering what on earth this new album is going to be like!!
December 12, 200717 yr Ok, I may let him have a bit. I don't think he'd last long in my house. He certainly wouldn't have a weight problem with eating too much chocolate :heehee:

December 13, 200717 yr Author great that some lovely volunteeers transcribed the whole video! some interesting things to mull over there. I am really wondering what on earth this new album is going to be like!! It must have taken ages although it must've helped that the quality of the video was so good and Darius is a clear speaker. It's good to see it all written down and some of the funny bits still come over in print. I have to admit that Darius just looks so good and so relaxed and happy in the vids and I've watched them a few times.
December 13, 200717 yr so have I, I find my self chuckling each time, he is at his best, so happy and relaxed, and it reinforces everything I feel daiurs is and hoped he was! although I am still musing about different in many senses...in the album bit ok, in one sense..a different musical direction..wondering what he means by the many, is this going to be a download only album..or something different when it comes to distribution,
December 13, 200717 yr See, it'd all be in his best interest. Well don't you be moaning to me about your weight then.....and none of....'the sacrifice you have made saving Darius from the chocolate'
December 13, 200717 yr I'm just thinking of his well being. I did wonder when he said that he'd rather download. It did seem to be a pointer to the future. I'd still rather have a physical disc in my hand.
December 13, 200717 yr me too...........and what will he sign....my mp3 player.....laptop....
December 14, 200717 yr I want something physical too, it isnt the same having to burn tracks to a disc, plus they never seem to download or burn properly for me! I need a few CDs for the car, all this rubbish about CDs being indestructable when they first took over from vinyl was rot, they scratch and jump after a while. mind you my Darius ones are well used! its also nice to have the CDs for the collection, with all the garb and pictures, etc.
December 14, 200717 yr Author I can't imagine a time when there won't be some sort of physical copy of music. I still don't download. I don't own an ipod or an mp3 player. The only mp3s I've ever downloaded and burnt, are ones of Darius which are not available to buy. My stereo system won't play them. My DVD player has tantrums as does my PC some days and they will display one of these burned CDs as blank but after a few tries the track titles magically appear on screen. I 'm very resistant to the download culture. I've never been a person who bought music just because it's in the charts and everybody else is tossing a copy in with their weekly shop just to jump on the bandwagon. I've never bought any album I didn't intend to play many times.
December 14, 200717 yr Our Adsa has stopped selling singles. My son says Woolworths isn't far off as they aren't worth it any more. Download seems to be the way...hopefully albums will still be available for some years to come. welcome to the new age :(
December 14, 200717 yr One new age I don't want. I can't imagine feeling excited about getting a download.
December 14, 200717 yr Author I don't know anything about storing and using downloads, but I see people with ipods constantly scrolling up and down huge lists. I'm not into that at all. It's one of the reasons I can't be bothered using my mobile phone much either.
December 14, 200717 yr I have never felt the urge to have an Ipod or mp3 player, daughter has a new phone which plays music rather loudly..so it doubles as her mp3 player..I have a very select collection which I play constantly..and those are all Darius. Have no interest in buying CDs or downloading anything at present, hear all the rubbish there is enough on the radio!
December 14, 200717 yr There are a couple I want and will get soon. One thing with not listening to radio is that I spend a lot less on music.
December 14, 200717 yr I love my MP3 player, means I can plug into Darius while I'm on the bus. I haven't tried download yet as there is nothing much I want to download but I would if there was a song I really wanted.

December 15, 200717 yr I love reading the cd cover and having the words on there and little bits of other things. I just can't see a download being anywhere near as good. It would be better than no track but, I'd feel cheated.
