Posted December 9, 200717 yr With a lineup assembled on a U.K. talent show and a willingness to 'fess up to merely "fronting" songs for their powerhouse producers, Girls Aloud is the most artificially manufactured pop group since the Monkees. And yet the Girls are actually every bit as representative of U.K. pop culture as those rather cooler simians, the Arctic Monkeys. Now on their fourth album, they've long since ceased to be mere Svengali playthings. Only in Girls Aloud's perfectly manicured hands would the moody "Call the Shots," the sassy "Can't Speak French" and the stomping "Fling" become such kitschy, yet irresistible slices of knowing girl-group pop perfection. Time, surely, for the rest of the world to acknowledge the United Kingdom's premier pop phenomenon. —Mark Sutherland The link : http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/content_dis...39f676e18b2144e :o Quite an astouning review from the US Billboard! :o :cheer: Well done girls!
December 9, 200717 yr They should have released an album full of Sound Of The Underground, What Will The Neighours Say? and Chemistry's material in 2005 - i reckon with the right bit of promo it could have been big. Maybe they could try next year? Put all 17 singles on an album and go promote it, Nadine is sort of well known over there so that could help.
December 9, 200717 yr Something like 'The New Version Of The Spice Girls Are Coming To America' would work wonders i think. Edited December 9, 200717 yr by coolnav
December 9, 200717 yr Nadine isn't well known over there at all. She's a minor celebrity because of the Jesse link, but if they were to release there's no doubt about the fact that they'd be starting from scratch.
December 9, 200717 yr Nadine isn't well known over there at all.I said sort of. Edited December 9, 200717 yr by coolnav
December 9, 200717 yr You actually said 'sort of so that could help' ;) And I replied that it bears no relevance and wouldn't help at all. OK?
December 9, 200717 yr You actually said 'sort of so that could help' And I replied that it bears no relevance and wouldn't help at all. OK? No, you said she isnt well known over there at all - but she is at least known. She's going out with a big star over there and has been pictured with him and walked down the red-carpet with him numerous times. Edited December 9, 200717 yr by coolnav
December 9, 200717 yr It wouldn't help them become big, but it'd provide them with a link to the US. For example, I wonder how many Jesse Metcalfe fans will think, "Oh, his girlfriend makes music? I wonder what it sounds like?" Every little helps :funky:

December 10, 200717 yr I really want them to release here I think they would be huge, like the new Spice Girls huge. They would be bigger then the PCD because parents would want their kids to listen to GA rather then PCD, and that is enough to be huge ^_^ DO IT POLYDOR, OR WHATEVER THEIR LABEL IS.
