First off I would like to say I hate most people! Unfortunately we had seating tickets and I had get 2 big t**** in front of me; not big as in fat, just great big t****! Funny thing is mini moshers of about 13-16 was more mature than these 20 something GOFFS! Great turn out tho venue was full, full of people of all ages.

I'm happy about something however they played old songs as well:-

Soul on Fire

Join Me in Death

Wings of a Butterfly

Wicked Game

Sweet 666

Right Here in My Arms etc....

Their support band was Kill Hannah; not heard of these before now and I can tell you they was pretty good!

Anyway I did take pictures but I was a bit up so they didn't come out too well but never mind.

Sitting at gigs has gotta be one of the worst things ever....

I've seen HIM play live a few times, for me the best time was the first at the Glasgow Cathouse (a tiny little venue where you can squeeze in 400 if you're lucky...) - they'd just done one album, nobody really knew who they were, it was a really buzzing vibe because you could see the potential....

Last time was at the Brixton Academy, and I dunno, it just seemed a bit flat by comparison, mind you, the album they were promoting (Dark Light) was not exactly their best work....

To be fair Scott, I like DL the new album however I hate! I had to see them this time for fear of it being the last, I just do not like this album!

I had to make this one better than the last, I had to go again because the first time oh my god they was terrible!

I think it takes a while to get into tbh... I can see why you wouldn't like it, but I think the actual riffing and the music is pretty good, I think they're trying to do a more technical album, as opposed to something that's immediate.. I would still say that their best work is probably "Love Metal"...

sitting at HIM??? is their demographic that old

btw Venus Doom is #1 best album of the year in K! (and elliot minor #2 best new band!?!?!?! so whether this cancels out the greatness of VD i dont know )

I found pretty much every song on VD to be very similar, riffs drums lyrics even the whole beat really.

GAWD, Kerrap dont half talk sh!te.... Venus Doom is adequate at best, hardly the rock/metal album of the year in a year when you've had the absolutely monstrous beast that is Machine Head's awesome "The Blackening"... "The Blackening" absolutely SH!TS on "Venus Doom", and pretty much everything else rock/metal wise in '07.....
