Linkin Park returned in 2007 with their 3rd album and first since 2003 [let's forget that f***ing APPALLING mash up thing with Jay Z please :puke: ]. OK so it's a big dip in standard from their first 2 efforts but still a strong record with classic LP sprinkled all over it. My personal favourites are the emo tastic 'Valentine's Day' and 'Leave Out All The Rest'

Chosen Track: Earth Intruders

 

 

Everybody's favourite Icelandic nutcase/goddess BJorkie was back in 2007 with 'Volta'. Jumping aboard the Timbaland bang wagon to great effect this album demonstrates BJork's uniqueness at its best. Strong, strange, odd, freaky, entrancing music resides here including 'Earth Intruders' which I mean twigs + branches, carnage only BJork could make such lyrics :lol: The music to that song also soundsl ike it was borrowed straight from Spyro on the Playstation.

OK so I HAD to chart it :P

Amazing amazing band even if their comeback single was about as interesting as a trip to the plastic hair salon the Spice Girls were the first music artist I went crazy on when I was a kid, I was a huge fan and had waited so long for them to release this album! Can't wait to see them in Jan either :wub:

FFAF's third album became their most successful to date when it reached the top 3 upon release this year. About time these Welsh wonders got some recognition here. Very underated when compared to some of the more well known overhyped acts of their genre this album is their best so far something hard to beat when the first two were so stunning.

Same with me Graham about the Spices :lol: Im not charting GH's this year though they'd all hog the top end. :lol:

OK so 5 albums left! Mika is up next. I agree this album is home to two appalling singles [Love Today and the fat people feel good anthem] but there's something I like about Mika. He reminds me of a one man Scissor Sisters and there are some amazing songs on this album.

FFAF's Album is AMAZE. :wub: very underated IMO as well. ^_^

Well as you all know I am an Avril obsessive :heehee: I'm charting this record so high due to the inclusion of the two huge singles especially the amazingly beautiful 'When You're Gone' as well as the likes of 'Runaway', 'Keep Holding On' and the title track which sounds like it was lifted straight from High School Musical. :manson: As far as Avril's records go this one isn't a patch on her first two imo. Hope she goes back to the gritty stuff with her next album.

Hmm nah My Interpretation should've been released imo and Lollipop/Relax shouldn't have been relegated to a double A Side but there you go.

Well I NEVER EVER thought at the start of the year Fall Out Boy would do so well on my charts. :lol:

Every single from this album has been great and whilst you tend to get lost in a generic repetitive thread with the rest of the record it's definately one of my favourite album of the year. I don;t skip a track. :wub: Plus I love how their videos are always different and inventive even if everybody seems to focus on that annoying Pete Wentz skank rather than the music. I mean he can;t be that good if he's been inside Ashlee Simpson surely? :heehee:

Fall out Boy's album is quite good. (It would be MUCH better if every track didn't sound the same <_< ), and I agree that Me + U is the best track... Allthough it's all Ok. ^_^

Everything about MCR is AMAZING. So why #2? Well this list was compiled judging on single performance and rating the individual tracks. I know it's probably bad of me to say this being a hardcore MCR fan and all but TBP pisses all over their first two efforts a feat very hard to achieve but I'vep osted the video to 'Cancer' above so anybody who dislikes them in anyway just watch that and see if it changes your opinionion. I have been through some horrible times this year and this album was the only thing I had to deal with such things.

And shockingly the Babes come out on top! I personally think this is their best album since 'Angels With Dirty Faces' and just goes to show that they don't need Mutya after all. I have no idea why the hideous 'Back Down' was included on this CD but the amazing 'Change' and other gems make up for it. I think it's by far the Sugababes at their poppiest with 'My love Is Pink' even verging into Girls Aloud territory but they are the 2nd best girlband ever behind the Spices obv and none of the other competition comes close.
