Posted May 18, 200619 yr You have let the most annoying piece of c**p EVER get to your number one spot for not one week, not two weeks, not three weeks, YOU GET THE PICTURE. Its terrible didnt even deserve top 200 -_- :puke:
May 18, 200619 yr it's a fabulous single and a great album... I'd look at your own charts - they stink to high heaven - bland, faceless, nameless r'n'b, offensive, dull rap and laughable country and western - just hideous. It's a hit all over the world, anyway - seems once again the Americans are last to catch up on a music trend.... (despite half of Gnarles Barkley actually being American) Edited May 18, 200619 yr by russt68
May 18, 200619 yr It used to be an amazing song. Now its overplayed and c**p! I was on the phone to my boyfriend yesterday when it came on the box. I started singing "I remember when. I remember I remember when this song was good"

May 18, 200619 yr Some people(or rather a lot of people in this case) like stuff you dont. Fact. Personally I think its a far better song than the garbage that IS a lot of todays R&b. It has a nice chord structure (Am C F E), and is slightly unusual, yet familiar in parts, that is one key to having a successfull song, mixing familiarity with inovation. I could deconstruct the song further and explain why its so popular, but you'd still hate it, fair enough, but a lot of people dont.

Up until this year the US chart was the worst in the world, dominated by paint-by-numbers Hip-Hop and Pop Idol winners. It has dragged itself out of the mire a little thanks to the effect of downloads but Gnarls Barkleys is a hundred times better than a lot of your No.1s (Check It Out, So Sick, Run It to name just 3....) That said, Gnarls Barkley is probably No.1 by default at the moment purely because there is nothing coming out that is good enough for No.1. I'd rather see them at No.1 for the 8th week selling 40,000 than another Orson (great song, but abysmal sales).

May 18, 200619 yr I agree with Brutarn...please take Orson back, and Maroon 5. In return we'll take James Blunt back..deal?
May 18, 200619 yr I think it's great that we have a no1 by a guy who can actually sing as oppose to to the usual american c**p at no1 with lyrics to barf to by acts who talk instead of sing, that's why he's so popular.
May 18, 200619 yr They are, yes. they both are, yes, sorry 'bout that. One of them's DangerMouse, the guy who produced the latest Gorillaz stuff - good enough for me.

May 18, 200619 yr It's better than all that urban stuff that tends to dominate the charts in recent years. It reminds me of how good R&B used to be. Edited May 18, 200619 yr by Euro Music

May 18, 200619 yr You can also take Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Neyo :cheer: And 50 Cent
May 18, 200619 yr The other is Cee-Lo, who wrote the Pussycat Dolls - Dont Cha! Which knocked Gorillaz off the top spot!
May 18, 200619 yr well, we can forgive him Pussycat Dolls... the funny thing with Gnarles Barkley is.... now the song's been a hit all over the world... you watch in about 6 months, it'll finally become a hit in the US. Why are they so far behind the rest of the world musically?
